Marshawn Lynch may be gone, but it seems as if the team is doing everything they can to keep the door open for his return.
"One of my last conversations with Marshawn was that nobody was going to wear No. 24 this year in the regular season," Seahawks general manager John Schneider said Monday during an appearance on 710 ESPN Seattle's Brock and Salk show.
I think Marshawn has a couple miles left in the tank.
I understand he's coming off his worst season since his rookie year, but he was injury riddled all season. I think it's unfair to judge Lynch off of one bad year, when he's been a fairly healthy player for the majority of his career.
I think the bigger question lies with the Seahawks and their desire to keep him in a featured role. I doubt Lynch will come back to a small role, and rightfully so. If Seattle doesn't want to feature Lynch, will they put him on the trading block? If so, what's a fair return for one of the best running backs in the past 5 years?
