Though it may look like Japanese sushi, it's actually called gimbap, which is a Korean dish that--if you've never tried it--is AMAZING!
Just like sushi, gimbap can come in a variety of flavors and designs. Here in LA, we have what's called, Koreatown, so we are LUCKY to have authentic gimbap whenever the tastebuds are desperate for the sweet sensation. (I like mine on the sweet side.)
Anyhow, when it comes to your wedding menu, gimbap would make for a terrific option for passed hors d'oeuvres as it's incredibly flavorful and not nearly as costly as Japanese sushi, making it a wise financial alternative.
