This card is something really special to me so I would have this one narrated in a really personal manner. Please bear with me coz I would like to share my experience of watching LMH perform right before my eyes. :)
Hours before the concert, a very thick and long queue filled the side of the Mall of Asia Arena in Pasay City, Manila, Philippines. Since I and my friends got reserved seats, we were confident enough that we no longer need to line up. We arrived at around 7PM since the event would start at 8PM. Me and my friends were really stunned knowing that we still have to line up, so we did.
Upon entering the lobby of MOA Arena, we immediately ran into the different booths by the sponsors of the event. We lined up at LINE's booth first where LINE users can get a chance to win a miniature "Brown the Bear", LINE's mascot. Afterwards, we proceeded to the official concert merch, "Always".
We went to our respective places inside the arena. After a few minutes, we were all shouting at the top of our lungs and the curtains slowly opened--- there he is! An angel from heaven singing his first song "My Everything". I really have to admit that he really has an angelic voice! He sang "You and I" next, riding cutely on a bicycle. The first half ended with "Pieces of Love."
There was a break after his two songs. An interview segment with Ms. Sam Oh, the translator, went on. Here are a few things I can remember:
-He drew his favorite LINE sticker. (It was cute but the sticker expresses the thought of "feeling alone")
-He said he tasted another Filipino cuisine "Kare-kare" and exclaimed in English "I like Kare-kare!"
-He shared what he would post in his SNS accts after the concert and it was in Filipino "Masaya ba kayo?" (Are you happy?)
-He shared another Filipino word that he recently knew "Maganda" (Pretty)
Afterwards, LMH sang "My Little Princess" and "Love Motion". Before proceeding with what's next, he asked for a break and drank from his bottled water on-stage! The crowd was shouting at the top of their lungs, wishing to be that bottle. Haha! Well, it is only in a fangirl's world where material things become objects of jealousy. For the next segment, he handpicked 11 lucky fans. Each of them got a special gift, including an autographed shirt LMH wore the previous day and and a power hug from him! We also sang him the Korean ver birthday song since he just celebrated his 27th birthday last June 22 hee answered us with a song too!
For his second to the last piece, he dedicated the song "Without You" to us, his Filipino fans. Awww, he's so sweet. There was a short break and the lights went full blast and he sang "Say Yes" for the finale. Almost everyone stood up and joined the singing. Well, he didn't break his promise to his Filipino fans--- the "butt dancing". HE'S SO CUTE, I TELL YOU!!! LMH ended the show, going to each side of the stage bowing, giving a flying kiss, and repeatedly saying "Mahal ko kayo/ I love you, Philippines!"
I went home with a happy heart and a big smile on my face. Lee Min Ho made me love him even more. Just the mere fact that he did a concert, not for his debut as a singer but solely for expressing his gratitude to his fans, is the best thing that an idol can offer. I will forever be a proud Minoz! Fighting! ^^
