Egg whites are glorious (along with my favorite side dish - which are beans). There are many reasons why egg whites are great for your health, and I will hit some points. Especially when I am trying to lean out and build muscle, egg whites are like my go-to.
1 - Low in calories
1/3 cup of egg whites has only 100 calories. That is extremely low for all those damn egg whites.
2 - Has a lot of protein
For 1/3 cup of egg whites, you're looking at about 20 grams of protein. That's more than some other protein sources. If you're looking for vegetarian sources of protein that's gluten free, soy free, milk free, fat free -- egg whites are your friend.
3 - There's 0 fat in egg whites
Yep, no fat in these things. Healthy sources of fats aren't bad, but if you have certain goals or diet restrictions that has you skipping the fat, think egg whites.
