WOLF BOY Hits You Right in the Feels
This had been on my watch-list for a while, and when I watched this a year ago I had no idea what I was getting myself into. And let me tell you, there were a LOT of tears. First off, Joongki is in it, so I knew the leading role would be ADORABLE. What I didn't know was that other than a few funny moments of Joongki burning his mouth on food and being an awkward wolf in a human world, there would be EXTREME HEART BREAK in the beginning, middle, and end. It's not like Teen Wolf or Twilight where the guys suddenly get ripped and they're weirdly warm and strong and angry. Joongki is just sort of fast and hairy and he can't read... WHICH JUST MAKES EVERYTHING THAT MUCH MORE HEARTBREAKING If you haven't seen it, watch the trailer now!! So basically, I watched this movie in my dorm room with my head phone in and didn't really give my roommate any warning about what I was going to watch. An hour or so later when the movie ends I am SOBBING in bed and my roommate doesn't know what to do. I tried to explain to her why I was loudly sobbing and I couldn't even get the words out to explain to her cause it would just set me off again. Now when people ask me about the movie I just scream YOU DON'T UNDERSTAND and get super emotional. Am I the only one that was WRECKED by this film!?!?!? Or, better question, what dramas or movies made you ugly sob?!?!

Creepy Dolls Mysteriously Pop Up In London.
If you were traveling through London earlier this month, you may have come across quite a hair-raising surprise. Two living and extremely ominous-looking porcelain dolls were reported to have stalked many of the city's popular sites this month - including the Regents Street shopping district and Charing Cross station. The two were dressed in pale pink Victorian-style clothing with identical blank states and auburn hair, and were often found either holding hands, holding onto a precious toy, or pushing along a black vintage stroller through popular neighborhoods. Understandably, London commuters were a little freaked out. Eventually, witnesses took to social media to share their videos and pictures, and many people began to hunt for the dolls' origin and identities. Soon enough, it was announced that the dolls were sent out to help market Thorpe Park, a popular amusement park and tourist destination, and Minds Wanted, their upcoming collaboration with illusionist Derren Brown. Opening next March, Minds Wanted is the world's first 'immersive psychological attraction' - a 13-minute ride that caters specifically to fans of psychological thrillers that the company vows will 'manipulate the human mind'. In an official statement, Derren explained why they decided to go about such a creepy form of advertising: "I believe we are moving toward a future where theme park attractions not only give you a physical experience but also play with your mind and the concept of what is real. The Victorian twin dolls, who have popped up around London this week, are just a taster of what my new attraction has in store for visitors to Thorpe Park next spring." So now I want to know: Would you guys want to write a 13-minute psychological thrill ride? Or have these dolls sufficiently scarred you for life? Personally, I hate getting scared as a form of entertainment, but I'll be honest and admit that I'm at least pretty curious about how this mysterious ride is going to pan out. [Spooky Weekend Club] Tale of Two Sisters
Welcome to the Spooky Weekend Club! I will be talking about a scary Korean movie that you should watch each Saturday this October to get you in the mood for Halloween. If you'd like to be tagged in the club, please let me know in the comments below or follow my Creepy Kpop collection :D (This is the one and only time I will be posting a movie card in K-pop so be sure to check out the Korean Movies and K-Drama communities) Tale of Two Sisters is a story about, you guessed it, two sisters! The film is based loosely off an old Korean folktale 장화, 홍련, and is one of the craziest psychological thrillers I've ever seen. The film begins with the oldest sister Su-mi leaving a mental institution after being treated for shock and psychosis. We aren't told what triggered this condition, but we know that she is released and brought back home to live with her father, younger sister, and step mom. Su-mi is not a huge fan of her step mom, considering she was the live-in nurse for Su-mi's mom that passed away and then married her dad, and she's pretty sure the step mom is abusing her younger sister Su-yeon who has mysterious bruises on her arm... The audience starts to lose sense of reality because Su-mi and Su-yeon both start to have wild dreams, visions, and hallucinations. We're never quite sure if we're watching a nightmare or their reality. The dreams (and reality) become increasingly scarier as the characters all start to lose their minds. The ending comes out of nowhere and you'll probably have to read the synopsis a few times to understand it - but it is definitely not what you'd expect. If you're into psychological thrillers, this is a must-watch. Solid 8.5 out of 10 from me! Have you seen Tale of Two Sisters? What would you rate it!? Tagging my K-drama folks! The Zombie Apocalypse is Starting in...Korea?!
I don't know how I got there, but I watched World War Z last night. I obviously knew there would be zombies...but no one told me the zombie apocalypse STARTED IN SOUTH KOREA! and not like cute Korean zombies like in Twice's OOH AHH video... REAL FLESH EATING TOTALLY INSANE HORRIBLY SCARY ZOMBIES. That's not how it happened in the book it was based on, but for some reason the director decided South Korea (specifically a military base just an hour south of Seoul) to be the first place that zombies seemed to be found... and what drives me crazy is that NO ONE EXPLAINED HOW IT HAPPENED. Not really a spoiler, but at the end of the movie you still don't know what caused it... So is Korea where the zombie apocalypse will start? Where was Jackson and why didn't he stop this!?
Korean Legends: What Is A Gumiho?
A Gumiho (구미호) is a creature that appears in ancient Korean folklore. Deriving from ancient Chinese myths, a gumiho is a nine-tailed fox that has lived a thousand years. It can freely transform into many things, but most usually into a beautiful woman. They set out to seduce boys, and eat their liver or heart (depending on the legend). It is similar to the Japanese legend of the kitsune. However, unlike the kistune which can be good and bad, the gumiho is almost ALWAYS depicted as a bad figure. Some tales say that if a gumiho doesn't kill or eat humans for a thousand days, it can become human. On the other hand, it is also said that if a gumiho eats the total amount of 1000 men's livers/hearts in a period of 1000 years, it can become human, otherwise it will be dissolved into bubbles. You've probably heard about it from the drama, My Girlfriend the Nine Tailed Fox!
