This is actually SO COOL!

Jeju Island actually has really, really different accents from the rest of Korea (sometimes even using completely different words) This English teacher had his students speak Satoori (accents) and its awesome!

Its really different from typical (ie Seoul) Korean, especially the grammar endings...

For example:

Seoul Korean:

I wish I could go - 나도 갔으면 좋겠어요.

(na-do kass-eu-myeon joh-kess-eo-yo)

Jeju Korean:

I wish I could go - 나도 가시민 좋으키여!

(na-do ka-shi-min joh-eu-ki-yeo!)

Check out these idols from Jeju...

It's like with Chinese and Japanese and their two different writings. No sure if the dialect would be different. I don't think so though...🙊

I'm rewatching VIXX One Fine Day, and I finished the episode where N was going over the satoori with the rest of the members.

Once I get a handle on standard Korean, I'm learning satoori
