In a new weekly feature, we take a look at the clubs competing in the Premier League right now. This week we start with one of London's oldest and most successful clubs Arsenal. Nickname: The Gunners (supports often called the Gooners) Founded: 1886 Location: London, Middlesex, England Current Ground: Emirated Stadium Opened: 2006 Capacity: 60, 338 Last Year's Finish: 4th, Champions League 4th Round Qualifying Arsenal are the oldest club in the top flight. They were founded in 1886 and turned pro, joining the Football League in it's infancy in 1888. They played in the Second Division before first earning promotion in 1902. They played there for 11 seasons before their relegation in 1913 to the Second Division. In 1915 the First Division voted on who to add to the top flight in a controversial move as the First Division expanded to 22 teams from 20. Arsenal were promoted and have been in the top flight ever since. Arsenal's first big success started once Herbert Chapman took over as manager and in 1926 they finished 2nd in the First Division. In 1927 the Gunners made their first FA Cup final before finally winning it in 1930. Arsenal soon after won their first top flight title in 1931, scoring 127 goals in the process. They lost the FA Cup Final controversially in 1932 and finished 2nd that season in the First Division before winning it again in 1933. Chapman suddenly and tragically died in 1934 with Joe Shaw taking the reigns. Shaw oversaw the 1934 and 1935 title winning squads before winning another FA Cup in 1936 and the First Division a 5th time in 1938. World War II then suspended football until 1946, which saw Arsenal lose the FA Cup final, this time to West Ham. Two years later they won the First Division a 6th time before winning the FA Cup in 1950 and the First Division in 1953 on goal difference no less. Arsenal then struggled, not winning any trophies for almost two decades before their FA Cup & First Division double in 1971. Arsenal finished runners-up in 1973 before their worst First Division finish in almost half a century in 1976 in 17th. under manager Terry Neill they turned things around, making 4 FA Cup Finals between 1976 & 1980, winning the cup in 1979. When George Graham took over the club in 1986, Arsenal were on the decline before the former player managed to help guide the Gunners to their first League Cup in 1987 and another First Division title in 1989. The club's success really started to come to a forefront, winning the First Division title in 1991 and the FA Cup and League Cup double in 1993. In 1996, the club was looking for a new manager and made a surprise appointment with Arsene Wenger taking charge of the club. Arsenal improved incredibly under his management, finishing 3rd in 1997 and missing out on the Champions League on goal difference. In 1998, Arsenal won the now Premier League & FA Cup double, repeating the feat in 2002. In 2003, Arsenal won the FA Cup before their 2004 Premier League title winning campaign solidified themselves as only the 2nd ever side in England to go the entire top flight season unbeaten, earning them the nickname "The Invincibles". They won the FA Cup in 2005 before making their first and only Champions League Final in 2006, a loss to Barcelona. Arsenal then went 9 years between trophies, having just won the FA Cup last season in May 2014. Arsenal have been known for their attacking play and beautiful football style, including a lot of ticky-tack passes and never-ending flow. Their manager, Arsene Wenger is also still in charge of the club and is the longest tenured manager in the Premier League today. As of today, Arsenal sit 5th in the league and have qualified for the Champions League every year since their 1998-1999 season in the competition.

EPL Match of the Week: ARSENAL vs. Chelsea
This week we've got a real gem to look forward to as Chelsea face Arsenal at the Emirates in the EPL. Here's how it all looks to me: Arsenal This could be the return to action for winger Alexis Sanchez, who has been out with injury since November. Arsenal have been playing great football even without him, but when he's healthy he can be easily one of the best players in the league. He can be a huge boost for an Arsenal team attempting to mount a major title challenge and fight off tough competition from Leicester City, Man City and Spurs. Their defense has been really solid with the emerging Hector Bellerin, while the midfield has the strings pulled by Mesut Ozil, who continues to prove that he is one of the best in the whole world. He leads the league in assists and is a real joy to watch. Chelsea We all know about Chelsea's struggles this season. They have been better since Guus Hiddink took over as manager, but still sit in 14th place. For me, a large part of their struggles comes down to the horrible form of Eden Hazard, who has completely failed to live up to the expectations he set for himself during last seasons' PFA Player of the Year winning campaign. He needs to be better, and if he is, Chelsea can mount a challenge toward the upper end of the table. Champions League football is out of the question, but they can still challenge for Europe and it may well start with a big match against Arsenal this weekend. My pick Chelsea have been looking better, but Arsenal are the best team in the league getting their best player back from injury. For me, that settles it. Arsenal 2, Chelsea 1. Healthy lifestyle comes quickly and inevitably: shelves with organic products, farm meat and vegetables are already beginning to appear on shelves in stores, sports halls are opening. Reasons for the popularity of healthy lifestyle A correct lifestyle contributes not only to an overall improvement in the state of the body, but also to the appearance of the person. What are the criteria for a healthy lifestyle? This is a rational diet, physical activity corresponding to a person’s age and condition, a good sleep and many other little things that positively affect the state of the human body. Anyone who follows the basic rules of a healthy lifestyle compares favorably with others: he has a fresh complexion, good posture and a lively look, always full of energy , the desire to try something interesting. It is impossible not to notice him against the background of people with gray puffy faces, voluminous bellies, shortness of breath and stooped backs, with difficulty carrying themselves through life from the couch to work. He who observes the main components of the healthy lifestyle clearly understands how much effort and time he needs to maintain himself in perfect condition, so he will not spend a second on meaningless or unpleasant actions. This is especially valuable in the age of high technology, when every minute counts. Healthy lifestyle components A healthy lifestyle is a combination of several basic elements, including the following: - proper nutrition; - physical exercise; - healthy sleep; - rational distribution of time; - refusal of excesses. All these components of a healthy lifestyle are fundamental. It is a mistake to think that in order to change life, it is enough to change one thing. You can’t give up part of bad habits, and be content with it. Fundamental changes are always needed for fundamental changes. Each person has a different character, and where one can, by a willful decision, immediately abandon all that is superfluous, the other will better abandon the idea of self-improvement, fearing the burden of future worries. Therefore, psychologists advise not to rush to apply all the main components of a healthy lifestyle at once, but to do it gradually in order to first unconsciously accept the basics of a healthy lifestyle and make changes easier to transfer. Where to start a healthy lifestyle A healthy lifestyle begins with a person realizing that he does not live correctly. And for everyone this happens in different ways: someone notices a too big figure on the scales, someone feels unsatisfied, broken, tired, someone constantly gets sick. Sometimes people for years come to the idea that just a diet or prevention of colds is not enough to solve their problems. And it seems to them that they are leading the right way of life, since they abandoned any one component of the past: they quit drinking or smoking, started going to the gym or went on a diet. However, HLS is not one small concession, but a large set of measures for self-improvement, and although it should be started small, we must strive for more. Such components of a healthy lifestyle as regular exercise and proper cooking cannot just be discarded or replaced with less time-consuming options. The body is actually a “box” for the soul, it is impossible to get to what is inside without changing the container so that you can freely engage in the state of content. Nutrition has a huge impact on health, not in vain for many diseases, doctors prescribe certain diets. Sport lifestyle Without physical activity, it is also impossible to talk about self-improvement. An unsportsmanlike person is often melancholy, inclined to forgive his minor weaknesses. He has no habit of loading muscles, overcoming himself, he will easily violate the basic principles of a healthy lifestyle due to the lack of self-discipline. Sport not only heals, it also contributes to the formation of a beautiful appearance, and the joy of contemplating the reflection in the mirror, the pride, pleasure that people receive when they look at the updated version of themselves, only support their desire to observe the right lifestyle. I'm Ashamed of My Hometown
San Diego, get your shit together. Each year at the Padres stadium, Petco Park, the LGBT society in SD holds an event called "Out at the Park" that is meant to bring the community together for an evening of baseball. This year, Petco Park really, really screwed up. The San Diego Men's Gay Chorus was meant to sing the national anthem before the game to represent the LGBT community for this event. Their voices were never heard. The stadium let them take the field, and then as they were about to sing, a recorded female voice instead sang the anthem (which, if you've been to a Padres game, isn't something that happens - we always have live singing) The men had to walk off the field hearing people shouting profane, homophobic things at them. The Padres said it was a mistake, a technical error, a third party contractor, and that they were sorry. But that doesn't explain the other examples of mistreatment. Days prior to the game, the Padres organization told the performers that the chorus would have to pay for their tickets in order to sing. This is not something that happens, ever. If you perform the national anthem, you get to enter the park for free, DUH. Why did the Padres suddenly want this now? That would have cost the small organization thousands of dollars, and after dispute they were finally allowed in as performers. You can listen to their great voices here when they performed in 2015. It's a pity their voices weren't heard this year. Get it together Padres, you're a disappointment in baseball but don't be a disappointment to your entire community.

Arsenal Upsets Bayern Munich!
Arsenal managed to keep their hopes up in the UEFA Champions League as they collected their first win of the Champions League against Bayern Munich. They were on the verge of elimination after losing the first two matches against Olympiakos and Dinamo Zagreb. It was surely an upset considering the fact that Munich was a favorite to win the whole thing. But here's the thing. Today's match was more like a match between Arsenal's Petr Cech against Munich's Manuel Neuer. Just take a moment to appreciate the stellar performance that these two goalies put on tonight. Here are couple of saves by Neuer. And here are some by Cech. It was impossible to get behind these two until this happened. In the 77th minute of the game, just three minutes after Olivier Giroud replaced Theo Walcott, Giroud scored the first goal of the game. Neuer, who was having a perfect night, lost sight of the ball in the air and let this one get by him. Yes, the greatest goalkeeper in the world do make mistakes. Then this happened in the 94th minute to seal the win for Arsenal. It seemed like Neuer saved this one, but take a closer look. The ball had definitely passed the goal line! A goal from Mesut Ozil to make the match 2-0 and brings home the victory at Emirates Stadium. Cech definitely was the game changer and MVP for Arsenal, but I feel like Wenger really should be given credit for last night's win. He was well prepared and his strategy seemed to be effective against one the best teams in the world! What do my football (soccer) fans think of Arsenal's victory?
