Why Hilary Duff's Clothes Shouldn't Define Her Motherhood
Stop slut shaming. Why is it that every time a mom posts a picture of herself where she feels good, the internet has to tear her down because it's too sexy, too provocative, or too inappropriate? Check out the picture that has garnered 118k likes and over 1,000 comments! Hilary Duff, don't let the haters get to you. The 28-year-old mom is under major heat after posting this photo on Tuesday of the outfit she wore to pick up her son Luca from school. Though Duff was feeling 'semi cute' in her very short shorts, tan top, and long trench, many fans had other opinions on her outfit. While Duff did invite her fans to tag themselves in their own #ootd, she got a reaction that were quite the opposite of what she had probably hoped for. "Hey moms! I came up with a semi cute outfit for school drop off! I usually roll in sweat pants or lulu lemons and look like a disaster but this morning I managed to throw something cute together and I thought I would share," Duff captioned the photo. "Cut offs or jeans. A light weight trench over a sweater or tee, cross body bag sneaks or booties and a pair of Sunnies! Now you try! Tag me in your photo (annnnd you don't have to wear such a serious face haha)." Everything from Instagram user señoritaatomasita writing, "I am sorry, the only issue that I have with her outfit is how tiny her shorts are. It given men mix signals about it's okay for them to cat call a female because what she wears. Plus the outfit does not posh" to other user simplelittleway writing, "I have always like her but no way is this appropriate. They look like panties. To whoever said the only ones bothered by this are insecure moms that never lost their baby fat. I love my body and I am thin. I however would never pick my son up in that. It's inappropriate for kids to see woman in their panties. Also I would not want to embarrass my son." Some moms are furious. However, not everyone has the same opinion. Instagram user iledahorsetowater wrote, "Rock it! What is up with all the negativity?? I think you are doing a fabulous job!" Even user shenry1977 loves Duff's style, "Your outfit rocks! Haters = motivators!!!" Many other moms commented that Duff is looking better than ever and there is no reason to retire the shorty shorts to fit a very skewed social standard. Women who support other women, we need more of this. But here's the thing, Duff should be able to wear this because she feels comfortable and it makes her happy. For a society that constantly promotes feminism and girls uniting with other girls to combat slut shaming and gender stereotyping, the negativity comments are doing just the opposite. A mom can be a mom AND sexy, pretty, cute, gorgeous, stunning, funny, and appealing. Just because you have a child does not mean that a woman should sacrifice her identity. Everyone freaked out weeks ago about Kim Kardashian's almost full nude mirror pick and it looks like the same haters have made their way to Duff's post. Leave Duff alone, she looks amazing. One word : WERK.

Most Hilarious Friends Couples [COUPLE OF THE WEEK!]
Is anyone else completely addicted to Friends now that it's on Netflix in its entirety? Sometimes it's not quite as fast-paced or binge-able as the TV shows of today, but man – I love it all the same! I was born just a little too late in the 90's to grow up watching the crazy hi-jinx of Monica, Rachel, Ross, Joey, Chandler, and Phoebe (bless her hippie heart) – but now I can name them all from memory. See?! In case you're new to the Love & Relationship community, one of our fun weekly activities is highlighting a famous couple, often fictional (but not always!) and celebrating all the reasons we love them. This week, in lieu of choosing just one couple, I decided to put together a short list of some of the most hilarious couples from Friends – one, to see who else is totally second-wave addicted to America's most beloved sitcom, and two, because – OH. MY. GOD. (I can never get enough of Janice). Chandler and Janice Oh. My. God. The three words that spring to mind IMMEDIATELY whenever I think of Janice – that, and her obnoxious Fran Drescher laugh. What made Chandler go back to this woman so many times? We'll never know. Wait, yes we will – SHEER DESPERATION. Ross and Janice Remember that time Ross made a horrible mistake? And then he was so annoying that even JANICE, the whiniest, most annoying person in the Friendsiverse, had to break up with him?! It was hard to have much optimism for Ross's future romantic prospects at that moment. Ross and Rachel You know, it's kind of hard to be optimistic about Ross's romantic life in general. Anyone else think these two are just THE WORST?! I haven't finished the series yet, so I'm not sure if they ultimately end up together or not so NO SPOILERS!! But also I have a feeling (and I've had it since I started watching this damn series) that I somehow know EXACTLY how everything's going to end... Oh well. If they make each other happy. (I'm on season 5, and trust me, they don't.) Phoebe and Her Step Brother Okay, they were never officially a couple, but she did, y'know, carry his sperm around inside her body for several months and then give birth to his triplets (which he parents along with his 44-year-old girlfriend, slash old home ec teacher, Mrs. Knight). And there was that one time he thought she was an exotic masseuse, and tried to get Phoebe's poor colleague to give him a... well, it was inappropriate. Chandler and Phoebe Also never officially a couple... but shouldn't these guys get an award for most awkward fake seduction of all time?!? Chandler and Joey Let's never forget that this happened. Chandler and Monica And finally, one of my favorite Friends couples. I love these two. Monica is kind of the worst sometimes (she's, in my opinion, the reason the show isn't very easy to binge – she just gets too annoying after a while). But there relationship is pretty cute, and very funny. I like how Chandler gives Monica crap about a lot of stuff, but when it comes down to it is totalllllly just undyingly devoted to her and will do anything she says. Relationship goals? Heheheh.
