My mom visited me for two weeks and it's always nice to have her staying at my place. It's been a while since we stayed together for this long. I didn't expect her to do any cook and I tried to get her resting but she insisted to cook for us. She's into all the healthy stuff so she prepared a lot of nutritious food for my husband and I. Now that she has left to LA I miss her food. During her stay, I felt a lot healthier and he just feel bland. He's used to eating very savory meals. By that I mean, salty and spicy.
So, I'm writing today because I feel like my hair is finally back to normal. Not more shedding in the shower! That takes away one stressful thing. As much as I want to credit the food I think it's the smoothie that gave me my much needed vitamins. Every morning she would blend avocado smoothie.
The Morning Avocado Smoothie Recipe:
1 1/4 cup almond milk 1 ripe avocado
1 ripe banana
1 small stalk celery
2 cups spinach or kale
A small piece of fresh ginger
I know this doesn't sound delicious but it's just the right amount of sweet. In fact, it's refreshing and gives you energy for the day! Give it a try for a week!
