Yep, it's that time of year again folks. The dreaded college finals are coming and we students are desperately preparing for battle. That being said, you don't have to ride into battle with no weapons at your disposal. Here are a few tips to prepare yourself for Finals.
1. Study in Advance!
Finals are coming up in two and a half weeks, and to the average college student, that seems like all the time in the world. Trust me friend, it really isn't. Binging on Netflix and getting drunk at the local frat party might seem like a good idea now, but in two weeks or so, you're probably gonna regret it. Do not, and I repeat DO NOT, try to shove every ounce of that biochemistry down your throat the day before. You're signing your death certificate.
2. Study with Friends
At the end of the day, it's just so much easier to study with some friends than alone in your room. Not only can you help each other out, but you can take comfort in the fact that you're suffering together!
3. The Sacred Office Hours
Something come up that neither you or your friends understand? Go ask your professor. Most, if not all , professors have a designated time where they can sit down and answer any questions you have. If you're clever enough, you could probably get them to cough up some crucial info on what's going to be on the exam.
4. Caffeine is Your Friend
So the deadline for that English final paper is coming soon. And by soon.. I mean in three hours. Chances are it's probably 4 A.M. now, and you haven't gotten a minute of sleep. Well fear not, cause coffee and energy drinks will aid you in accomplishing your task. You'll probably drop dead from exhaustion right as you turn it in, but G.P.A is forever so worth.
5. Get a Good Night Sleep
Look, I know it seems like a good idea to pull an all-nighter the day before that calculus final. It's not. Studies have shown that a good night's rest is more important to doing well on an exam. So put away that textbook, close that laptop, and let the sweet, sweet oblivion of sleep take you. Til that alarm goes off at 7:30 A.M of course.
