This is what her drawer held in 1962!

Pretty cool, right? I don't know what all the items are, but she has ear blugs, fake lashes, the purple bottle is eyeshadow, the "guards" are bobby pins, an eyelash curler.

But that's not nearly as telling as her makeup case!

This article gives us a look in her makeup case. Now we can all get her look!
Her complexion: Anita d’Foged (now Anita of Denmark) Day Dew foundation in Ivory Medium and matching coverup
Her eyeliner & lashes: Elizabeth Arden‘s Eye Stopper eyeliners, in both brown and black. Glorene of Hollywood brand eyeliner and half strip falsies.
Her eyeshadows: Elizabeth Arden cream eyeshadows, Autumn Smoke and Pearly Blue shades. Leichner of London cream eyeshadow stick in an unidentified colour
Her lipstick: Max Factor lipsticks, although it’s well-known that Ruby Tuesday shade was her favorite
Her nail polish: Revlon, in iconic shades Cherries a la Mode and Hot Coral
Her perfume: two bottles of perfumed lotion by Shisheido

Not pictured, she has also shared other beauty secrets:

"Her mascara of choice was by Helena Rubenstein. She loved Guerlain’s Diabolique lipstick (now available as 522 Insolence de Rouge in the KissKiss Range). The actress used a stick shadow Elizabeth Arden in White Lustre all over her lids up to the brow bone. As for skincare, Baroque in Babylon did a full inventory of Marilyn’s top shelf, including Erno Laszlo Active Phelityl Cream which was found at her bedside."

Can we all manage to look like Marilyn now?

I'm not sure, but we can certainly try ;)
