A few months ago, I bought a memoir called 'Wishful Drinking', written by Carrie Fisher (aka Princess Leia). She spends a lot of it talking about her battle with her own mental health issues, spurred by addiction and growing up in a prominent Hollywood family.
Carrie writes that the biggest turning point in her life was when she finally made the realization that life doesn't ALWAYS have to be fun - and we shouldn't always expect it to be. She adds that expecting life to always be awesome sets you up for trouble.

What do YOU guys think? Are you an optimistic? Do you find optimism a positive thing to be? Or is optimism sometimes dangerous?
