When you can't decide on your favorite player...

Giancarlo Stanton and Ichiro Suzuki are both great baseball players.

But one thing is for sure! They both play very different types of baseball.

Stanton is known for crushing baseballs out of the park...

And Ichiro is known for making contact with the ball and his speed!

But one thing's for certain. These two are incredible baseball players.

So what do you do when you can't decide on your favorite player?

THIS.

But to be honest...I'm not sure if I'm digging the look.
Baseball fans (or any other sports fans!)

Who are your two favorite baseball players? Would you ever do what the fan above did with his two favorite players?

MLB Top Plays of the Day (09/25/15)
Here are your Top 5 Plays of the Day! 5. Rafael Ynoa (Colorado Rockies) So the Rockies know a lot about the Dodgers since they're in the same division, which is why they decided to do a major shift facing Andre Ethier. But when Ethier hit that ball, we thought it was going to go beyond the infield. Not Ynoa though. He went to his right to make an outstanding stop and also throw one on his knees to get the out. The Dodgers fell to the Rockies 7-4. 4. Michael Taylor (Washington Nationals) This one was hit towards center and we all thought it was going to be a routine popup play for Michael Taylor. However, there was a lot of wind in Washington today as we go into fall and the wind killed the ball to come down a lot quicker than expected. Taylor however did not lose focus on the ball and sprinted down to make a fabulous diving catch. The Nats however lost to the Phillies 8-2. 3. Martin Prado (Miami Marlins) We all know Prado is a great third baseman. Well, he proved it once again with this fantastic double play where he showed off his skills in the hot corner. He perfectly timed his dive, stopped the ball, threw one to Gordon on his knees, and Gordon completed the 5-4-3 double play. After a couple of runs back and forth, the Marlins beat the Braves 12-11. 2. Trayce Thompson (Chicago White Sox) Some people think baseball players are just huge, slow guys who crush a ball once in awhile. For those haters out there, Trayce Thompson showed some athleticism and grace with the second best play of the night. The ball was hit hard to right but Thompson wasn't going to let it go over his head. He leaped like a ballerina, extended his glove to make the catch. His throw was a bit off, but at least someone was backing up and he saved a few runs from being scored. The White Sox beat the Yankees 5-2. 1. Mookie Betts (Boston Red Sox) We see a lot of walk-off hits. We don't hear too often about a game-ending play that robbed a possible home run. Well, that is exactly what Mookie Betts did last night when the Red Sox faced the Orioles at Fenway Park. The game could have become more interesting when the 2013 AL home run leader, Chris Davis came up to bat in the ninth. He hit one way back to right field and we all thought it was going to be his 44th home run of the season. But not Mookie Betts who wanted to end the game as quickly as possible. Betts went over the home run fence and robbed Davis of a home run and ended the game a bit early to give his teammates some extra time to rest up. The Red Sox beat the Orioles 7-0. Now that was your Top 5 Plays of the Day from last night's games! MLB Top Plays of the Day (09/14/15)
Here are your Top 5 Plays of the Day! 5. Mariners Fan (Seattle Mariners) We finally get one from the crowd! He was under it, he reached out, and made the play. The bow was a must. Good thing he brought his glove to the game! The Mariners crushed the Angels 10-1. 4. Jedd Gyorko (San Diego Padres) Jedd Gyorko spins and makes the play to make a 1-2-3 inning for James Shields! A strong outing from Shields and an explosive Padres offense leads them to victory over the Diamondbacks, 10-3. Shields also collects his 12th win of the season. 3. Christian Yelich (Miami Marlins) Yelich makes the catch and throws a cannon to second to get Juan Lagares out at second. The 2014 Gold Glover gets another 2014 Gold Glover out with his incredible arm. Too bad the Marlins faced the hottest team in the MLB right now; the Marlins lost 4-3 to the Mets. 2. Bryce Harper (Washington Nationals) The number one candidate for the NL MVP award saves the game with runners on first and second. The ball was going in fair territory but Harper reaches out, slides and makes the catch! Harper's catch leads Washington to victory as they top the Phillies 8-7 in extras. 1. Mikie Mahtook (Tampa Bay Rays) Mahtook jumps up and makes the catch, but it doesn't stop there. Mahtook comes down and throws one to second to get Gardner out and make it into a double play. This amazing play also extended Erasmo Ramirez's no-hitter through the seventh inning (He lost the no-hitter in the top of the eighth). The Yankees topped the Rays 4-1 with a three-run homer from Slade Heathcott. Now that was your Top 5 Plays of the Day from last night's games! What was your favorite play of the day? @christianmordi @jeff4122 @ljk901023 *If you guys would like to be tagged every time I upload a Top 5 Plays of the Day card, please let me know by commenting on the comments section below!
The 5 Strangest Superstition in Sports!
Hello sports fans! It's Friday the 13th! Here are some of the strangest superstitions in sports! Michael Jordan Michael always wore his UNC shorts under his NBA shorts. Thus, he wore longer shorts than his fellow players at that time. In the end however, his fellow players followed suit after the legend. Serena Williams Serena Williams is known for not changing socks once during a tournament. It sucks to wear a pair of socks for more than a day...imagine how it would feel to wear the same socks for an entire tournament! I guess Serena doesn't mind it considering the number of tournaments she has won. Brian Ulracher Brian Ulracher ate two chocolate chip cookies before every game. Maybe that was the secret to his muscular body. I think it'd be fair to call him the "Cookie Monster". Caron Butler Caron Butler was known to be an avid fan of Mountain Dew. He loved the drink so much that he drank before and during every game. During his UNC days, he asked his wife to pick him a 2-L bottle of the green stuff, and drank half of it before the game, and the rest during half-time. In 2007, the Wizards and NBA banned him from drinking it during games so he eventually quit the whole thing in 2009. Moises Alou This one has to be the most f*cked up one out of all of them. Moises Alou used to pee on his own hands to harden them! Should we see that as commitment to the game of baseball or just some pretty weird ass shit? Oh and by the way, don't try to harden your hands by peeing on them ladies and gentlemen, because doctors have confirmed that peeing on your hand doesn't harden them. It actually softens them. @jeff4122 @ButterflyBlu @superiorsl @Starbell808 @DonnaMelton @InPlainSight @jokes @BEAUTYgirlARIEL @David19Flo23 @karencorchado @salahabdalla @Moose892 @BrookieyElba @SamuelRodriguez @ValerieAlissaPa @xitlalicordova1 @AndrewMaldonado @Jovi @Shippudenguy21 @AbdulrahmanSaad @trinityarcangel @thefeels @Link4TW @ChriSingularis @sanazsanaz @WilliamBrown @DannyMoses @ClaySharko @Ravenwing92 @FromBlue2U @TravisBeck @LemissaNicole @BossDominata @gatorchick96 @MatthewBoughton @MarcusJiles @BrandonMcNeil @MalikLawary @KyleBerke @manbungo2000 @DerekGumtow @havic @Straightshooter @PhilAnthony @Kirooken @yaakattackk @RodneyYoung @DreJones @JonathanKerns @bnzattoni @TravisManning @GalacticChakra @smothgreen @afxs @johnnolastname @ChristopherKenn @ChasePage @coreywriley91@MikeWolf @MrTenThirty @JasonNilsson @BrunoDutch @SherzTYC @krishntejanand @addri @ChrisStephens What was your favorite one from the list? I'm Ashamed of My Hometown
San Diego, get your shit together. Each year at the Padres stadium, Petco Park, the LGBT society in SD holds an event called "Out at the Park" that is meant to bring the community together for an evening of baseball. This year, Petco Park really, really screwed up. The San Diego Men's Gay Chorus was meant to sing the national anthem before the game to represent the LGBT community for this event. Their voices were never heard. The stadium let them take the field, and then as they were about to sing, a recorded female voice instead sang the anthem (which, if you've been to a Padres game, isn't something that happens - we always have live singing) The men had to walk off the field hearing people shouting profane, homophobic things at them. The Padres said it was a mistake, a technical error, a third party contractor, and that they were sorry. But that doesn't explain the other examples of mistreatment. Days prior to the game, the Padres organization told the performers that the chorus would have to pay for their tickets in order to sing. This is not something that happens, ever. If you perform the national anthem, you get to enter the park for free, DUH. Why did the Padres suddenly want this now? That would have cost the small organization thousands of dollars, and after dispute they were finally allowed in as performers. You can listen to their great voices here when they performed in 2015. It's a pity their voices weren't heard this year. Get it together Padres, you're a disappointment in baseball but don't be a disappointment to your entire community.
