I got to hang out with an old friend this weekend and we got to talking about high school romances.

She told me about a guy that asked her out but she turned him down because she had her eye on someone else at the time.

Now, he's her dream guy.

Athletic, smart, in art school, handsome, you name it, he's got it.

And he isn't interested in her anymore. He's got a girlfriend.

They're both about to graduate college and move into the real world, and her biggest regret is turning him down back in high school.

Have you ever done something similar to this or have had any regrets when it comes to love?

I had a thing for this guy back in Jr. high (29 yrs ago) and he for me but because I was taller than he was he never asked me out. We both went out separate ways after high school but remained friends. After all this time I can proudly say that I have been married to that guy for 8 yrs now and couldn't be happier. If its meant to be then it will happen.
Yes, but.. can't live in regret. while you're concentrating on who you can't have, the next "the one" is getting away
Currently trying to reconnect with someone I lost touch with. Let's hope it works :D
I regret not breaking up with my college boyfriend sooner.
Meh, kinda. There have been a few really cool good dudes I turned down because I was hung up on my first love or dating at the time. The only thing I regret is being hung up on something not worth it and not giving others a chance. Everything happens for a reason though as well as we make our own choices that dictates our path. That's just the way it is. I lived and learned.
