Joo Byung-hee (Lee Min-ki) is the crazy, free-spirited leader and vocalist of the popular underground rock group, Eye Candy. Joining him is Kwon Ji-hyuk (Sung Joon), chic Lee Hyun-soo (L), playboy Kim Ha-jin (Yoo Min-kyu), silent Jang Do-il (Lee Hyun-jae) and baby-faced Seo Kyung-jong (Kim Min-suk). When their delinquent-ridden school is forced to close down, they debate whether it's even worth returning to high school at all. However, due to an outside confrontation with their new school's current ruling band, Strawberry Fields, Eye Candy decides to attend Jungsang High out of spite so they can rule the school once again. Joo Byung-Hee finds his muse in Jungsang high school and dreams of performing in a music festival. They overcome their various economic difficulties to earn themselves the Jungsang High school uniform and finally are able to enter. By taking inspiration from his blossoming relationship, Byung-Hee finally finishes his composition for the festival. tensions flare between Eye Candy and Strawberry Fields, leading to violent encounters. When Byung-Hee receives an apology from the members of Starwberry Fields and an offer to replace the drum kit that they had previously wrecked, he goes alone to collect the kit. The members of Strawberry Fields instead take the opportunity to attack Byung-hee and beat him with a metal rod, including giving him a serious head wound. Ji-hyuk, Hyun-soo, Ha-jin, Do-il and Kyung-jong discover the situation and reach Byung-hee, only to witness his death as he is struck by a truck as he staggers across a road to reach them. The story of Eye Candy is forced to continue without their impulsive leader as they struggle to realise their and Byung-hee's dreams.

Jang Do-il (Lee Hyun-jae) What's not to love about a hot drummer with a gorgeous smile and sweet personality? Even before watching this drama, he drew my attention to watch. I've always loved guys with long hair, I think their hot and his smile is so cute. >_< He is the only character that didn't irritate me. He spoke his mind and kept everyone in check. He stopped most of the arguments and tried his best to make everyone make up. He is willing to make the woman he loves happy by letting his bestfriend that she loves have her. He is so sweet and caring. How can you not be attracted to him. And the funniest thing that happens in this show is when their at the pool place. These guys always praise him as a prince because his father is a gang mob leader. So the thugs will bully his friends until he walks in and they act like nothing happened. XD

Lee Hyun-soo (L) To be honest, I thought he would be my favorite character because I love L but after a little more than half-way through the drama he became too confident in himself and selfish. He annoyed me. Ji-Hyuk helps him become a solo artist, so he could earn money to pay for his sister's surgery. But he becomes absorbed in this and doesn't know what Ji-Hyuk did for him. This results in the breakup of Eye Candy later.

For a High School drama, it was really interesting. I haven't seen where they have an unexpected death of a band member die in a drama who happens to be a main lead. I love music dramas, so this was enjoyable to watch and the music was amazing. I didn't think I would cry because I didn't know the character that dies that well but I did because of all of the flashbacks they show and it makes you understand the pain that the bandmates are going through. They put a romance element in it where the leader that dies named Byung Hee has a muse and that muse ends up falling for the new leader named Ji-Hyuk. Ji-Hyuk protects her because she was Byung-Hee's muse but slowly develops feelings for her too. Things get complicated because of this when "Eye Candy" becomes famous. Rumors spread about them living together because they were neighbors. They chose good looking guys for each role especially Ji-Hyuk, Do-il, and Hyun-soo. <3 They are all EYE CANDY in my eyes!
In the beginning Strawberry Fields looks down on Eye Candy but in the end they cheer them on! ^~^

Ji-Hyuk and Su Ah I felt no chemistry between the main couple at all. For some reason Su Ah seemed like she was faking the whole time. Her smile seems forced but Ji-Hyuk didn't seem like he was pretending only Su Ah. So, the chemistry between them wasn't there for me. The kiss was good but that was it. I didn't think there was any chemistry, the side couples had more chemistry than them. They had there moments. I thought the storyline was more interesting and I usually love romance but Su Ah doesn't seem natural or sincere. I think it would've been better with a different female actress, to me she is just a pretty girl...

"Not In Love" by Lee Min-Ki This song sticks out to me the most from all of the songs. I love everything about it. The beat, voice and rhythm. It's a fun song and I love it. My 2nd favorite song would have to be "Jaywalking" by Sung Joon.

I enjoyed the storyline a lot and the cute side couples. The "Eye Candy" bandmates and amazing actors. My favorite thing about this drama was definitely the music, I loved the soundtrack so much. The likable characters and funny scenes. But the only thing I couldn't stand was the female lead and I usually like the female lead in most dramas but this drama is one where she was really annoying. She seemed forced and not natural at all. But overall it was an entertaining drama.

8.5/10 - It was an enjoyable High School/Romance/Music drama that I fully recommend. Especially if you like flower boys and great music!

Have you watched "Shut Up! Flower Boy Band", and did you like it?

Good movie. I really liked it.
I started watching this years ago, but never finished it. I think I only got to episode 3. 😟 I'm think about starting again, but too many dramas and so little time. ~sigh~
Oh I enjoyed this show and yes I did find the main lead female character annoying, but it was fun and funny to watch.
I loved this drama and all of the characters in it. β€πŸ‘
