My Unofficial Official Idol Best Friends
So as Kpop fans, we all know it's healthy to be crazy and delusional with a healthy dose of keep your distance (and maybe a bit of sanity). So excuse my unreasonable rationality on this. (Or maybe it is rational). #healthyimagination Since I have been k-popping it for some time now, I have developed this group of idols I swear I would be best friends with based on their and mines (and my current friends) personality. I'm mean with reason, I have to at least measure the friends I hang out with now to see if I could hang out with these idols? Right? Wrong? Who cares..... So here is my list of best friends starting with my closest one. FYI the stories of our friendship might be a little bit long and totally made up ^^...... First up we have the ever so adorable Baro. Yes B1A4 Baro would be my best friend. In fact, out of all the idols I know (I haven't met any yet) Baro is the one I am closest to and I have known the longest. We can chill talking about music, movies, games, books, and literally anything that comes to mind. We will always be there for each other since nothing is more important to us than our friendship. And all though we love each other, we are reasonable enough to not drop anything we're doing to go running to each other. We will check up on each other to see how the other is doing if we couldn't hang out for awhile. Especially after things like a break up or a relative passing or even issues with our careers creating an identity crisis for us. Visitations are always in order and having/owning a key to the others house/apartment is a requirement. Long story short, I will always be there for him. And he will always be there for me. Seeing that we are both September babies with our birthdays just 5 days apart (Sunwoo on September 5 and me on September 10), we work well together when we set off on any type of project. Of course we would bicker like real siblings, and drive each other crazy. I mean who wouldn't if they have known each other for as long as we have. To top it all off we are super supportive and critical of anything the other does. An example is if either one of us wanted to go down a different career path and wanted to go to school for it. We would weigh out the pros and cons and then we would check the reasoning for said friend embarking in a new direction. (FYI: following the dreams of your idol is not the same as following your own dreams, unless you're the lead female in Playful Kiss starring Kim Hyun Joong and Jung So Min then it is okay because he is your dream and you must follow your dream to the end of the earth and then get married to said dream. Good luck with that!!! ^^) So basically us Virgos will stick together through thick and thin and be the bestest friends forever! Next up on my friends list is the fiercest and most misunderstood (well, one of the most misunderstood) females I know. It's the one and only HYUNA!!!!! For years now my poor friend has been over-sexualized and thus criticized for her over flowing sex appeal. But to be honest, Hyuna is a really sweet girl that loves to party and have fun. At the age of 22/23 we still want to be young and milk our youthful features and figures for all it's worth. Being normal and conservative is overrated and unnecessary. And to be honest, Hyuna is very outspoken (with reason) of what she wants done. I will admit that Hyuna is more attractive than I am. ~(>^~^<)~ But that's cool. Together the two of us have amazing one-on-one girl time. Chatting over our favorite foods and downing all the sweets that we can get. Talking about whose the hottest idol and whether or not we like him and then being upset if the other doesn't agree with us. Of course, we dish details about current boyfriends or crushes and we size up whether the guy is worth the trouble. We spend time window shopping and eventually buying things for each other and ourselves. Since I'm not too big on 'ink' (tattoos), we agree that a charm bracelet unique to the two of us is what we need to identify our friendship to the world. Since Hyuna is older than me (by only 3 months), she gets to obnoxiously play the older sister and act like she knows more than me and is more mature than I am. But to be honest we're both mentally still kids. #kidsatheart #youngforever Over all, Hyuna and I share a unique bond that cannot be shared simply through words but felt whenever we are spotted together. Forever my best friend. Forever my ride-or-die. Forever my twin. Next up on my list of friends is someone you wouldn't have expected. I haven't known her for long but ever since we met, we clicked and that was that. My Goofy/Derpy twin, Hani. As one of her closest friends, I get the privilege to call Hani by her real name Hee Yeon. Together Hee Yeon and I are like two peas in a pod. We're either smart together or we're dumb together. And on the off chance that one of us understands something the other doesn't, we generously explain it. But our slowness is our charm and a charm only we allow ourselves to laugh about. We honestly don't mean to be slow, we just don't catch on to things sometimes. We don't always have slow moments though, there are times we are super into a conversation and know everything we can about it. These said conversations are not always about idols but mainly about things that really interest us; starvation, animal cruelty, third world problems, money and taxes, and ever so often we throw in a good mystery book or drama because we just love our mystery. Over all, you can catch Hee Yeon and I throwing weird faces at each other while taking selfies or wearing matching outfits to show case our unique friendship. Next up is someone everyone needs....... Everyone needs at least one obnoxious friend that you want to beat up but still love and will defend because you know that they are good person. Well that person for me is Ji Hoo. Yup, none other than Block B Zico. This boy loves to mess with me and my love for owls. (I totally have an obsession with owls and have tons of owl jewelry). Every time I call his name (Ji Hoo), he starts echoing me with his own set of 'who who', sounding like an owl. /\(>_<)/\ *angryface* Clever and mean at the same time, Ji Hoo, is the special third inclusion to my Virgo club (starring Me, Sunwoo, and Ji Hoo of course). Ji Hoo always leaves me speechless with the lyrics he writes for his songs and then stunned at how annoying he can be. Same as with Sunwoo (Baro), I argue with this boy like a true sibling and defend him just them same. No one can talk bad about my brother but me (and well his older brother Taewoon of course). Unfortunately Ji Hoo and I get very heated in arguments and refuse to back down. We might spend days not talking to each other but I would eventually give in since I don't know how to keep a grudge (no seriously I don't). In the end, among us Virgos, Sunwoo, Ji Hoo, and I, we have formed our own little click and occasionally hang out together. Our own version of the Three Caballeros or the Three Musketeers. We're not exactly a rough bunch together but we know how to have our own type of fun. Finally my newest adorable and talented friend is Yoda....lol I mean Chanyeol. EXO Chanyeol is a relatively new friend for me but we work well together with our passion for music. The two of us often joke around that we should have known each other when we were young so that our relationship would have more stories to it. And it's true since we already act that way. My Yoda and I are always true to each other and ourselves and the best part of our friendship is our ear for music. Honestly if I were more inclined to when I was younger, I would be a talented pianist and guitarist by now. But even though I'm not I still listen to music faithfully and I can tell whether I like something or not and why. There is always something about the beat not matching the lyrics or the right words or phrase not being used when writing lyrics. And my Yoda confides these things to me among others he trust because he wants to me the best musician he can be. So these are my five. And now I am honestly wondering if any of you other Kpop fans have your own group of idols you want to be friends with. Give it some thought and if you want to, you should post your own story of what your relationship would be. I'm personally asking if @poojas, @PassTheSuga, @MattK95, @jiggzy19, and @aabxo would like to give this story-telling a shot. โ€œIf you think anyone is sane you just don't know enough about them.โ€ โ€• Christopher Moore, Practical Demonkeeping ^^V If you think I'm crazy then your just not sane enough --- @stevieq (Me) ^^V I do not own these photos ใ… ~ใ…

A product guide to fluorescence and Photoluminescence
Above Photo: Glow Paint Industries 250ml UV Neon Face and Body Paints. Black lights emit UV Ultraviolet light that cannot be seen by humans The fluorescent paint absorbs the ultraviolet light and then re-emits the visible wavelengths that we see as fluorescence. It works in the way of one colour in one colour out. Fluorescent Paints are fluro โ€“ Neon coloured in normal day light conditions but when exposed to a black light in dark or semi lit conditions will illuminate (Fluoresce). As you can see the glow in the dark Christmas tree was a great success. Common Questions Q) Should Fluorescent Paints be used outdoors? A) Fluorescent Paints will work fine outside but over a number of years the paint will fade in colour. Fluorescent Paints are best used indoors. Q) Is there a black, Gold, Silver or Gray Fluorescent paint? A)No all these colours do not have fluorescent properties. Q) Are black lights dangerous? A) Most black lights that are available for sale in Australia are safe to use. UV Blacklights with dangerous wavelengths are not normally available for sale to the general public. Q) What type of Black Light do I need for a Fluro Party? A) To light a large area we recommend getting a 400W UV Black Light cannon. You can get these UV black lights from your local dโ€™j supplies shop. Most dโ€™j shops rent and sell their range of black lights. Types of Black Lights Black Light LED panels these black lights also work well and are suitable for both home fluro parties and professional use, but give inferior performance. UV Black Light Tubes are good if you are trying to light an area where there are only normal white light fluorescent lighting. You can get these from electrical wholesalers. Black Light bulbs are a good, cheap and cost effective method of buying UV black lights. We recommend buying energy efficient globes rather that the old style globes. The old style globes donโ€™t work as well as the new energy efficient globes. You can get these from your local hardware store. You will need to check your light fittings before buying black light bulbs to check if you have bayonet or screw in fittings. The type of UV Black light you buy will determine how well the paints work under UV Black light. Above Photo: Pro black lights for large events. Above Photo: 12 Volt DC UV Black Light Is Glow in the dark the same as fluorescence? No they are not the same at all. Glow in the dark pigments in the paints absorbs light from artificial light or natural light sources and then when placed in the dark the pigments in the paint discharge and light up and Glow. There is no scientific research or evidence to prove that Glow pigments are safe to use on skin or in face and body paint. A new emerging trend is to use glow in the dark Face and Body Paints. After many years in selling glow in the dark powders and paints we know that this type of Glow paint is inferior compared to UV reactive paints. This is why 1) Glow in the dark Face and Body Paints need very dark conditions to see the glow effect. 2) This make their use dangerous. 3) They are expensive 4) They have limited colours 5) To have a good glow effect these paints need large glow powder particle sizes. This makes them look like sandpaper. Other useful information about Fluorescence in general Is there Organic Fluorescent things in nature? Yes some flowers have UV Properties which helps bees and other small insects find flowers. Fluorescent rocks and minerals Some rocks and minerals will fluoresce when near a black light. 10 Killers Christmas Classics That'll Make You Toss Tradition
If you weren't aware, The Killers are a rock band that releases a new Christmas track every season. Every year since 2005 The Killers have released a Christmas song, and this year is no exception. Their newest track "Dirt Sledding" just hit the airwaves. They're not only a multi-platinum arena rock band, but they're full of Christmas joy. Traditional music can get tired and boring, but when you're feeling like you want to light that fire, hang and drink some cocoa, you don't have to be boring. You can rock. Check out these incredibly original songs and never look at the holiday season the same again. Dealing with themes usually alien to the Christmas season like longing, spending time away from family and living in a place where it doesn't snow, the Killers are a modern example of what real life Christmas stories look like. 10. Dirt Sledding / 2015 This is the newest jam, debuting merely hours ago. Check out the video where the boys try and experience a traditional winter sport in the desert. They're from Vegas after all. Channeling Wayne Newton and Elvis himself, Brandon Flowers and the guys hang around in the dust as Santa, a dirty Tooth Fairy, Easter Bunny and Halloween pumpkin decide enough is enough. This one deals with Santa giving up on his yearly trip around the world, hitting rock bottom and trying to convince the people around him to love to Believe. But in that trademark Killers style, it's tongue-in-cheek, catchy as hell and completely fun. 9. Joel The Lump of Coal / 2014 The Killers partnered with Jimmy Kimmel to bring you this delightful little song. It's campy and fun much like Rudolph The Red Nosed Reindeer, but takes it a step further. Injecting some dry humor and mixing it with genuine Christmas joy, The Killers really outdid themselves with this one. Its by far the cutest and most fun out of all the Killers Christmas classics. I dare you not to enjoy the holiday season while listening to it. You'll be rooting for Joel the Lump of Coal all year long. 8. Christmas in L.A. /2013 This one hits home, especially this year. It'll be the first time I'm not spending Christmas with my family. Once you hit adulthood a lot of things change, one of them is the Holidays. This is where The Killers really shine. Sincere, open and honest, this song is an essential listen for anyone feeling melancholy around the holidays. It's not all about the presents and the family, for some its a time of reflection. This song makes you question what is important: family or work? Living on your own or appreciating where you came from. It's all relative. 7. I Feel It In My Bones / 2102 The saga of Brandon Flowers and Santa Claus dates back to 2006, and this is the epic conclusion. I Feel It In My Bones" is a terrifying, haunting, 80's inspired track that if you didn't listen close enough could fool you into thinking it was a real rock song. Basically, Brandon comes to terms with the fact that Santa has it in for him. It would be a great track to go with that new Christmas horror movie "Krampus". I don't know, it just has that vibe. 6. The Cowboy's Christmas Ball / 2011 The Killers use the desert and a lot of western themes in their Christmas songs and videos. Because, a lot of people don't spend time in the snow, skiing and stuff during the holiday season. Some of us call the West home. This song is an ode to that. So all of you people who hang around in Navada, Arizona, New Mexico, California and Texas...this one is for you. The Southwest gets its revenge in this fantastically catchy song. "The Cowboy's Christmas Ball" is a rollicking good time, and would be an incredible addition to your Christmas playlist. 5. Boots / 2010 This song is Vegas all the way. Starting with a bit of "Its A Wonderful Life" underscored by The Killers' famous dark synth, as made famous by their debut album "Hot Fuss", "Boots" is a dark Christmas song, exposing the underside of the famously happy holiday season. There are a lot of people who don't have families, are homeless or lost during the Holiday season. So any kindness you can extend, or happiness you can give, makes all the difference. 4. Happy Birthday Guadalupe! / 2009 A lot of people regard this as the not-so-good Killers Christmas song, but I'm rather fond of it. Taking that southwestern flare they're known for and infusing it with a straight-up mariachi flare, this song is for those who are celebrating South of the border. The love story between a cowboy and lovely Guadalupe is actually pretty cute. It's that classic Cowboy trope, but it's not regressive at all. 3. Joseph Better You Than Me / 2008 The most biblical song they ever put out, "Joseph Better You Than Me" is one of those slow burning Christmas songs you put on while you're hanging out by the fire drinking hot chocolate. It's even more special though because it features the luscious vocal stylings of SIR Elton John and Neil Tennant. It's pretty amazing. Put it on when your parents are trying to saddle you down with some boring Bing Crosby, and they'll be into it too. 2. Don't Shoot Me Santa / 2007 This is by far my favorite Killers Christmas track. The premise is that the guys get kidnapped by Santa Claus who finds out that Brandon Flowers is a cold blooded person who has been "killing for fun", in a hilarious, confessional story song, the hilariously dark plot unfolds. The monotonous delivery, paired with the dire circumstances makes this song incredibly original. It's the first in the saga of Santa and Brandon, and it's by far the best. It's catchy, fun and totally off the wall. A must have for your hip holiday party. 1. A Great Big Sled / 2006 The first Killers Christmas Classic is arguably the best. It's got a style that you don't see in holiday songs and I think that's why people gravitated toward it. Featuring an elf smoking a cigarette, a santa that looks like your neighborhood hipster and a lead lyric that says "The snowman is shaping up to be an 8, but not out of 10" this song is completely unforgettable. It's innocent enough to play in the background of any holiday party, and it won't make you nauseous like most other songs you hear a million times during this time of year. It chronicles the transition from childhood to adulthood and uses Christmas as the link between the two, "I wanna roll around like a kid in the snow / I wan to relearn what I already know / Just let me take flight / dressed in red / through the night / on a great big sled." Wouldn't we all? Which Killers Christmas Classic is your favorite? Comment below! And make sure to hang out in the Alternative Rock community for more fun playlists, personal essays surrounding music and more!
BTS Fire and WTF Is Tropical House?
Alright y'all, we're going to talk about a topic that affects each and every one of us: TROPICAL HOUSE. It's a subgenre of house music that is influenced by instruments such as steel drums usually used in Jamaican, Cuban, etc music. It's been getting more and more popularity these days but I was still surprised to hear it in at BTS song! It is most noticeable in Rap Mon's part at 2:15. That awesome sound in the back? That's classic Tropical House music! Here are some more examples if you dig that sound: Jeremih - Don't Tell 'Em Thanks to @Lizzeh for reminding me about this awesome example!!!! Justin Bieber - Sorry & What Do You Mean Beibs made his comeback completely backed by this music. It sounds fresh, fun, and you CAN'T STOP LISTENING TO IT. Kygo - Stay Often referenced as the king of the rebirth of TropHouse, Kygo is your go-to DJ if you want nothing but Tropical House in your ears. Skrillex and Diplo - Where Are รœ Now This was the song that really brought the sound to mainstream recently. Those "dolphin sounds" or however you choose to describe it...yup, TropHouse. Fifth Harmony - Worth It & Work It's leaking into the girl group pop scene too with Fifth Harmony using an almost 8-bit take on Trop-Pop. Still groovy. Jamie XX - Loud Places And then we have Jamie XX that combines his smooth sleepy sounds from the XX with the catchy pop of Tropical House. Needless to say, it was love at first listen. Even though it has existed for a long time (and the influences that inspired existed looooooooooong before) I'm glad to hear more of it now in mainstream music! Enjoy!
Radio Hits of the 2010s
To follow up on my list of powerful ladies to watch out for in 2015, I compiled a list of the seven best radio chart toppers since 2014 by the same group of female artists. This list is mostly dance tracks, so I have to give a shout out to Adele who just barely didn't make my list (you go girl!) 1. Rihanna - We Found Love There is no denying that Rihanna ruled the radio for the past decade. Ever since Pon De Replay she's been producing hit after hit after hit. I am going to go ahead and say that We Found Love, with Calvin Harris' beats, is my favorite out of all of her chart-toppers. 2. Katy Perry - Teenage Dream If this wasn't your summer anthem in 2010 I don't know if we can ever be friends. This will always be my favorite Katy Perry single! 3. Robyn - Dancing on My Own Robyn is one of my favorite artists ever, and this song didn't let me down at all! She has this uncanny ability to sing about hardships and generally shitty situations but making it a fun dance-y track. This sounds like my senior year of high school. 4. Beyoncรฉ - Countdown My computer tells me that I am spelling Beyoncรฉ wrong when I don't put an accent on it. If that doesn't tell you that Bey is queen I don't know what will. This song shows off Bey's insane range without being in your face about it (hey there Mariah) plus the video proves that she looks amazing in any color, style, and time period. Bow down. 5. Miley Cyrus- We Can't Stop I still can't get over this music video, but you really can't deny how damn catchy this song is. Plus this a lot less embarrassing to belt in the car than 'Party in the USA.' Miley gets a lot of hate, but I am here to stand up for her 100%. She isn't going to put on an act for anybody, and I have mad respect for that. 6. Nicki Minaj - Super Bass Yes I know every word to this song. Yes I can do this entire dance in my sleep. Yes I am obsessed with my girl Nicki. This is the song that really got me into Nicki and is still one of my go-to workout tracks. This was her first big hit in terms of 'pop' success and blasted her into the limelight. 7. Carly Rae Jepsen - Call Me Maybe I am so, so sorry. I know you know this song, and I know that this will be stuck in your head for days now. How was I supposed to have a list of radio hits without including this though?!

(Around Us) Jang Hyunseung decided to stay and do another contract with Cube. Now that the five had left there was still an issue with the Beast name. Cube had the rights to that name for more years meaning the boys could not promote under that name since they had left Cube. After intense thinking and talking back and forth with Cube the boys decided to give up on the Beast name for the moment and promote under a new name........dundundunduuuuun HIGHLIGHT was born.
