7 Ideas to Upgrade Your Hair

Two times in a year I would switch up my hairstyle, at the end of December and mid-June. December is understandable. New year, new hair! If you think about it 12 months is a really long time. June is the perfect month to get a brief makeover to freshen up for the rest of the year. Whenever you're ready, here are some cool ideas to switch up your hair.

1. Wig

Not sure if you notice but in recent years wigs is rising in popularity. Part of the reason is Kylie Jenner has made wig a thing. In addition, Ladies don't want to damage their hair by changing their hair color every other month. Therefore, wig is a cheaper and safer option to look fab, minus all the mess.

2. Extensions

Wigs can be bulky and some people just hate wearing a helmet of hair over their own hair. Hair extensions is another solution to obtain new color without the use of dyes. The great thing about extension is you have full control of placement and style. The option is endless, so be creative!

3. Temporary Hair Color

This option is for those of you who don't like having anything on your hair. There are products like temporary hair color rinses, chalk hair, eye shadow hair that will go away in one wash. No commitment but it does take some work.

4. Traditional Color Change

You can always rely on the good old method of coloring your hair. Box formula can give you instant results without having to book an appointment or spend a lot of cash. However, professional color service will give you gorgeous and more long-lasting results. Highlights such as ombre and sombre are styles you might want to opt for this summer.

5. Smart Haircut

If you want to get your hair short but don't want to go all in, take baby steps. It's okay to have an evolving haircut. Start getting a few inches and then go shorter until your desired final cut. Experiment and see what works for you!

6. Texture Change

Long hair can be annoying during summer and you might be considering to trim it. However, if you want to keep the length but is bored with your current hair you can try changing the texture. It's easy to give your hair new looks. Simply use heating tools, braids, or twists. The best part, it works on any hair length.

7. Bangs

This is a subtle yet big change to any hair. One little trim can alter your entire style. You don't have to commit to it right away. You can always test it out with faux bang clip-in.

that's not entirely true about box hair dye. I have used boxed dye for years (Auburn) and make it last just as long as a salon job by giving it the right care
@AnnaWall This is just based on my own experience and observation. It's really great box dye worked well for you. Do you mind sharing which brand you used and the post-dye hair treatment to make it last? I'm extremely curious and probably a few other users might have the same question. Thank you!
