summer clothes!
all my life I heard this, don't wear black in the summer ( or dark clothing) it will make you hotter! wear cotton etc to cool faster.. but is all this really true?
I feel like this will be me this year... well.. this is me lol both. In the spring time I felt so happy to be wearing bright colors such as the outfit here. The black clothes are mines from back home and the bright clothing are korean made and brought. It's actually hard to find darker clothing. here in korea during the summer people wear lots of colors!
experts say that Black clothing absorbs sunlight and the heat radiating from your body, but if it is loose-fitting, and there is wind, the wind convects the heat away faster than it is absorbed. White clothing reflects sunlight, but also reflects internal heat back towards your body, so the net effect under identical conditions is less cooling than if you wore black. Desert-dwelling nomadic people such as the Tuaregs wear loose-fitting black clothing, and have been doing so for a very, very long time.
Other new studies say its The best color to keep cool in the heat, it turns out, is to wear black. Black absorbs everything coming in from the sun, sure. But black also absorbs energy from the body instead of reflecting it back. Now, the helpfulness of black clothes depends on finding black clothes that are the same thickness and looseness as those summery white clothes. Black clothing also needs a little help from atmospheric conditions. Once it has absorbed heat, it has to have some way to radiate it away. If there's even a little wind, black clothing is the better choice for those who want to keep cool, like goths who understandably don't like sweating through their make-up. So find something black to wear this summer. read more here http://io9.gizmodo.com/5903956/the-physics-that-explain-why-you-should-wear-black-this-summer
what you guys think? I always wear different styles and colors ( depending on how I feel) but lately I've gained weight and I feel more comfortable in black and so I'm wearing black more often even in this heat ( my pictures are current from this month) so yeah I had black everything the other day ( even wore stockings) even without heat, another question is does black vs color really make us look skinnier?
