Due to my recent post about linen (Re: What to Wear: Scorching Heat) and the watch I was wearing, I have been receiving a lot of questions of what brand it is. So here is the answer to the big question, the watch is from Swedish brand Daniel Wellington!
The company was founded in 2011 and since it's founding it has managed to become a very popular brand in the Swedish market. Not only is it carried in 200 different outlets in Sweden, but it is carried in 250 different outlets internationally!
You may have seen this watch featured on the likes of GQ Magazine and more!
The watch itself is very nice in quality and not that blingy (which I love). The watch is also fairly priced, starting at $195. The watch comes in a nice leather box with the very thin, as soon as you open it you see the beautiful Rose Gold watch with its 44mm diameter face. If the watch didn't get you excited but there is a note inside the box that gives you a little history lesson about the NATO Strap and here is what it read:
"The nato strap was first used by the royal navy divers during World War II, then made famous by the James Bond movies Dr. No and Goldfinger when Sir Sean Connery combined the nato strap with his Rolex mariner."
This little history lesson is what made me love the brand, and when people ask me about my watch I act smart with my little history lesson.
Thank you Daniel Wellington for the beautiful watch and making me smarter!
