Just a little note I had made awhile ago. I find it so cute that 안녕하세요 more accurately translates to "Are you peaceful?" Its the same for goodbye as well. 안녕히계세요 means to "Stay peacefully" (it is used when you are the one leaving) & 안녕히가세요 means to "Leave/Go peacefully" (it is used when you are staying and the other is leaving). It's a little off-putting when you just say 안녕 as a form of goodbye at first, since it translates to "peacefully".
Another, more detailed explanation can be found here -> https://www.90daykorean.com/how-to-say-goodbye-in-korean/ Although I've seen 안녕히계세요 as "Go peacefully", they say that 잘 가요 translates to that while the other means to "exist peacefully". I think either way it is still cute, and they both end up meaning goodbye no matter how they directly translate. It's just fun to learn literal translations.

**Since I wrote this awhile ago, I can not help the pen color. If it is too hard to see, please tell me. I'll make another copy in a more visable pen. :) Also! I have been thinking about posting little things like this on the side (so I have something in between writing long lessons), and I was wondering...does it sound like a good idea? I was thinking maybe doing a slang word and/or literal translation a day? I really like to learn the literal translations, plus it would be a good way to learn different vocabularies. Plus slang is always a necessity when it comes to any language. Please tell me your thoughts~~~ 감사합니다 ^-^
