HELLO HELLO HELLO!! How is everyone doing? I am sorry for the wait but I have finally gotten Part 3 of Diamonds Are Forever together and ready for you all to enjoy. I have to admit this chapter is a lot better than the last. *Bows* I apologize for how harsh it was to read... but!! Now Nanami and Jin are together and it should stay that way....
I mean it would make more sense if they stay together right? Or will she go poof again? I don't know! Guess we will just have to wait and find out.
Hope you all enjoy!
If you haven't read Diamond's are a Girl's Best Friend I suggest you go read that before starting here because you will not understand half of what is going to happen this season. You can find all of those chapters....
SUMMARY: Three years after Nanami left Jin in the night, the boys have become well known and widely loved idols. She goes to every concert and watches every TV appearance, but with Rick on her heels she can never be near him. With another major heist in Korea can she contain the urge to reach out to him while she is back?
Now just to clear this up. The boy's personalities might be a bit different from what they are like in real life, but I do not personally know them and this a FICTION story. Please take this into account as you read. Thank You.
The early morning light peaked in through a break in his dark curtains, shining relentlessly over his sleeping features. He groaned and rolled over his hand searching for the other sleeping form he knew should be in his bed. His fingers traced over the blanket that had covered them both only hours ago. The fabric was soft under his fingertips. She was finally back. He had finally found his Nanami again. A gentle smile snaked over his lips as he scooted further into the bed to find her. His hand ran across the pillow and he frowned as he opened his eyes to be met with the empty abyss of his room. “Nanami?” Jin’s voice was barely above a whisper as he sat up and slid his hands through his tasseled hair.
Had it been a dream? The thought gave him goosebumps and he shivered involuntarily. Why was he like this? Why couldn’t he get his life back on track? If it had been a dream it had been so real, it was almost like he could feel his heartbreaking again. The same pain he remembered pounding in his chest the day he woke up to find she had left him.
Jin’s chest started to tighten and make him feel as if he couldn’t breathe… until he heard it. The soft laughter floating up from the kitchen downstairs. His eyes turned wide and he almost fell flat on his face as he tried to pull on his shorts while running for his bedroom door. He flew through the door and ran down the stairs his heart beating erratically in his chest. He rounded the corner to the kitchen and stopped dead in his tracks.
She was there, talking to an overly happy Jungkook while they both moved around the kitchen making breakfast. He didn’t even care if the rest of the boys were standing around watching, he moved quickly into the kitchen and pulled her into his arms. She laughed as she collided with his chest and heard him take a deep breath of her hair. “Good morning Pretty Boy.” She laughed.
“Why didn’t you wake me up?” He asked softly. His heart was finally starting to beat normally again and he shut his eyes happy it hadn’t been only a dream.
“And wake that too adorable sleeping face?” She smirked. “I couldn’t bring myself to do it.”
Jin chuckled remembered how this was not the first time she had said that to him. “Well next time wake me up.” He said nuzzling into her neck causing groans to erupt around them.
“Hyung, Noona.” Jungkook whined behind them causing Jin to pull away finally looking a bit embarrassed.
Nanami stood on her tippy toes and laid a gentle kiss, that ended far too quickly for his liking, on his waiting lips. “Don’t worry Pretty Boy. I will say good bye before I leave this time.” Nanami slipped out of his arms and went back to flipping pancakes.
Jin on the other hand had frozen. His chest was tightening again and he grimaced at the pain. She was planning on leaving? She was going to just up and leave him again? Jin took a shaky breath and turned back to look at her profile. She talked to Jungkook with such ease, the other guys all smiled and complemented how good the omelets and pancakes smelled, none of them seemed out of place… why couldn’t she see that she belonged here with them? With him?
Nanami pretended not to see the look of hurt on his face at her words as she turned back to the stove. She had to stay strong. She had already made the mistake of coming back to him knowing fully well that if Rick found out about her feelings for these boys they would be in trouble. One moment of weakness was all it had taken for her to crawl back into his arms. She couldn’t even lie to herself and say that isn’t where she had wanted to be.
She smiled at Kookie as he went on about what had happened while she was away. Nanami had to admit that she did miss the boys and she was more than happy to be around them again, but she couldn’t stay. Out of the corner of her eye she saw the look on Jin’s face and she kicked herself mentally. She had hurt him once, and now here she was planning and plotting how she was going to do it again. Her heart ached as it clenched in her chest. She had to be the worst woman ever.
Jealousy and worry, those were the petty emotions that had driven her to see him. She had been prepared to say goodbye at the concert last night, but when he had pretended not to know her and moved to the other side of the stage she had been hurt. No matter how much she knew she should let him forget her, the thought of him actually doing so was enough to rip her heart from her chest.
Nanami wanted to scream with the pent up emotions boiling in her chest, but she knew she had to push them aside. She would hurt him this last time and then she would force herself to stay away. After breakfast she would sit him down and explain everything, before bidding him and the other boys farewell and disappearing back into the shadows.
The stairs stretched up ahead of her like they were spelling out her own impending doom. How could she break his heart? How could she do it to his face? Her feet slowly carried her up the stairs and she felt his hand squeeze her own like he too knew what this conversation would hold. She watched in distress as her own hand reached for his door knob and pushed his door open. Nanami pulled him over to his bed and sat down pulling him down with her.
Nanami watched as his eyes finally looked up at her and her breath caught in her throat. How could she possibly think she would be able to break his heart like this? His eyes seemed void of all emotion. The cold image of herself reflected back at her and his lips sat in a straight line. ‘He is preparing himself, he is shutting me out.’ The thought made Nanami want to pull him into a hug and tell him everything would be okay, but she couldn’t do that. She knew she couldn’t stay with him, and she knew that is all he wanted from her.
Her lungs filled with air and she bit her lip. This was exactly why she had just disappeared three years ago. She couldn’t stand to see him hurt so she acted selfishly and ran away while he was sleeping. This time she had to take responsibility for having walked back into his life knowing full well that she would not be staying in it. She had knowingly set him up for pain the moment she moved in front of that stage last night. She sighed and shook her head softly. This time she had to say good bye properly. This time she needed to make sure he knew he needed to move on because she wouldn’t be coming back a third time.
Her mouth felt dry and she swallowed roughly wishing she could just leave. “Jin I….”
“No.” Nanami’s eyes grew wide and she looked back up at Jin. “I know you want to leave me again, but I can’t let you do that.”
“Jin you know I…” He shook his head and cut her off again.
“I won’t be able to just let you walk out of that door again.” Jin’s eyes watched her and an air of desperation twisted in his voice.
Nanami smirked and shook her head. “You don’t need me around Pretty Boy. You have been just fine the last three years without me.” She laughed humorlessly. “Your fans won’t take well to you dating a thief anyways.” She smiled at him and shook her head. She could see the headlines now ‘Idol caught dating world class diamond thief.’ A smirk replaced her smile and she nodded. That was how it would be. People would hate him and the boys for associating themselves with a thief, and all of the fans they had gathered over the years would be gone in moments.
“I don’t care.” Nanami was pulled from her thoughts when he spoke. “I don’t care what the media or the fans think. If they are really my fans they will be happy that I am happy.” His featured turned to slight anger as he stared back at Nanami. “I know that isn’t why you're running from me. It’s because of Rick isn’t it?”
Nanami flinched slightly at how on point Jin actually was. He might not have spent much time with her before, but he had learned to see through her lies. She felt the tears sting her eyes a bit and she tried to blink them away desperately. Rick, it always came back to Rick. Even though she had escaped his grasp many years ago he still ran her life. She ran in fear of him finding her, she stayed away from anyone and everyone because if he caught wind of her being close with anyone, he would destroy them. Now here she was wishing to just curl up in this man’s arms and never leave him again, but she couldn’t, because Rick would kill him if he found out.
Nanami bit her lip and nodded her head. “Yes, he is still following me and you would not be safe with him out there.” She looked away as the stinging grew. “I can’t stay with you Pretty Boy. We are too different. You are an idol with adoring fans and a talent you wish to share with the world. I am completely opposite. I do not have fans, and my talent would get me thrown in jail if I told anyone about it.” She chuckled softly. “Then if you throw Rick into the mix we are not only different, but I am a danger to you and the other boys.”
She stood up smiling at him once more. “Don’t think about me, just forget. Don’t look for me in the crowd, I won’t be there anymore. Let go of me, move on Pretty Boy. You deserve happiness, and I can’t be that happiness.” Nanami turned and started to make her way to the door when she was grabbed gently by the wrist.
“I love you.”
Her heart stopped and a look of shock crossed her features.
“I love you Nanami and because I love you, no one is going to keep us apart. Not the fans,” He pulled her back so she was looking up at him again. “Not my CEO or the rest of the guys,” Jin pushed a stray hair out of her face and smiled. “And definitely not Rick.”
“But-” He placed a finger on her lips and shook his head signaling her to stop her arguing.
“I love you Nanami and I will not let you go again.” The tears she had been trying to hold back slowly started to cloud her vision as she tried to hold on to her last bit of resolve.
“You know….” She was once again cut off by a shake of his head.
“Nanami, you have known nothing but pain and loss. I will not let you lose me too just because of an ill-tempered man who needs to learn to let go. I am not afraid. I am going to stay with you despite your thinking you are selfish for wanting to be with me.” He wiped the tears running down her cheeks with his thumbs. “You mean the world to me Nanami, and I want nothing more than the ability to show you everything how life can be, how things can sort out, how much I'm more than willing to do for you. I'm going to show you the world, a different side of things. No more pain, no more running, no more losing everyone around you.” He kissed her lips softly. “I am here to stay and I am not letting you leave me.”
His arms wrapped tightly around her and she took a deep breath. “What if he hurts you?”
Jin laughed. “Like you said Nanami, I am an idol. That means I have security and on top of that he would be stupid to attack an idol in broad daylight, even the other members fear me.” He smiled. “Don’t worry about me. Let’s just forget about Rick and focus on us.”
Nanami nodded her head slightly. She wanted to fight him. A part of her told her that she needed to run away and never come back. That little voice in the back of her head was nagging about her needing to get away from him before he got hurt because of her… but that other part of her? That part wanted to melt completely into his touch, wanted nothing more than to lean into his broad chest and let his arms envelope her in a protective bubble. That part of her told her never to let go of Jin, but that voice knew the words she refused to say out loud.
She would keep an eye out. Maybe she could be happy at least until after this heist. Then she would figure out what to do to get Rick off her back, because if she was honest with herself, really really honest. Then she knew she wouldn’t be able to get Jin off of her mind, because….
“I love you too Pretty Boy.”
Whelp that is it for this chapter!! I hope you all enjoyed it.... It's a nice make up for the painful Hobi story I posted the other day right? lol I am still working on making my fluff scenes better.... but they still make me cringe a bit so bare with me.
I am also working on a story that will be posted through KpopINT in a few weeks called Oppa is a Kpop Star. I will add my tag list here to that one so that you will be notified when I do post it. After that I will not be starting any more stories until I get through some of the ones I have started already. Don't worry I have not forgotten about any of them... I am just easily distracted and when I come up with an new idea I run with it.
Thank you for taking the time to read my rambling stories and I hope you enjoyed it!!
Until Next Time Loverlys!
