Tonight's card will be on the shorter side but that is okay! I got Game of Thrones to watch lol.
So let's get started!
I'm going to continue talking about facial masks, but again it is a different type.
This card will focus on masks that help to remove black heads. Many masks help to remove blackheads and reduce the size of your pores but with these, it's their primary purpose.
If you missed a step please click the links below:
Step 1: Boom
Step 2: Sha
Step 3: Ka
Step 4: La
Step 5: Ka
Step 6 - Mud/clay masks: Fantastic
Step 6 - Sheet Masks: Baby
If you are already tagged I will continue to tag you as these cards are created. If you want to be tagged for future cards please just leave a comment requesting it. Though if you are currently tagged and wish to be removed from the tag list, please let me know.
Feel free to ask me questions about anything but my answers will mostly be experience/opinion based, I AM NOT A DERMATOLOGIST :P
My 언니 @MichalJamerson will also make comments and she is also a great resource :)
Also just an FYI, my skin type is very very sensitive that leans more toward the dry side.
Now let's get started! ヾ(。・ω・)シ
There aren't a whole lot of masks that are specifically meant for black head removal. With these masks you want to be careful though because they do take a lot of moister out of your skin. You don't want to do these types of masks too often. I use my blackhead removing masks maybe once a week but even that is a little too often for me. I more or less just keep an eye on my blackheads and if I decide it needs done then boom done.
Here are some tips for using these masks:
1. Make sure your skin isn't too dry before using this. Though you don't want to moisturize right before you use the mask either.
2. Steam your face prior to using. The way I do this is I take a wash cloth, get it wet, microwave it for like 30 seconds, and then gently put it on my face and let it sit for a little while. Be careful not to burn your face. If it feels too hot, don't put it on your face, be smart please lol.
Steaming your face helps to open your pores so it is easier for the mask to grab all of that gunk out of there.
3. Once you have finished steaming your face put on your mask as instructed.
I won't spend a whole lot of time on these because many of us have heard of these. I started using these when I was about 12? I still use them today. I really believe these help a lot and they remove a good amount of blackheads.
I haven't really noticed a difference between the regular and the charcoal activated strips but I still use both. The only think I have noticed is that the charcoal ones leave a residue after use and it is a little annoying.
These strips are also really easy to use and they don't take as long as the actual mask I have. So when I'm in need of some quick pore care, these are my go to. Because they are so incredibly basic they don't irritate my skin or cause any issues.
If you are wanting to try these and you haven't then you can pick them up at your local pharmacy or grocery store. They are pretty easy to find :)
I honestly don't know the name of this mystery black head removing mask. I just so happen to find a youtuber I watch often using it and thought, "why not" so I bought it. It is 100% in Chinese. There is English translated instructions but the translation is such broken English it's really funny.
In order for me to figure out how to properly use this I turned to youtube. When I used this product finally I didn't have as many blackheads removed as a lot of people did who have used it. Maybe I don't have as many blackheads as I think I do or I am using it wrong still. I still try to use it from time to time but I just don't get crazy results like some people get.
I like this product well enough but it is messy and hard to use. I say it is hard to use because actually applying it to your face is difficult. The product is really really tacky.
If you are interested in trying this product out go for it! It is really fun to try but that all depends on how experimental you are. If you are wanting to try it click here
The last one I want to talk about is by Diaso
I really liked this one. It was easier to use and I seemed to have better results. With this product you want to make sure apply a thick layer onto your skin. It isn't suggested that this is a full face mask but, I still use it that way. It does take a long time to fully dry, about 40 minutes.
This mask will also remove hairs from your face. Little hairs that no one sees on your face but because it does it can be really painful. If you are sensitive to that kind of thing just be aware.
With this mask I didn't notice any further break outs or anything so that was good but it does dry out your skin. Some masks have aloe vera in them but this one doesn't. You will want to make sure to moisturize well after using it. The mask also doesn't leave a film on your face after using, but it is still a good idea to rinse off the area that you use this mask on.

Well that concludes tonight's card guys!
With these kinds of masks you will get varying results and they aren't for everybody. I wouldn't say this step is essential to my routine because I have gone a month without doing this step, it's just something nice to do every once in a while.
Of course, these are my own opinions/experiences with these products. Feel free to ask questions but remember I'm not an expert
Next time: Part 6 continues haha
