**this card & it's comments will contain spoilers for Mayoiga: The Lost Village. Don't read if you haven't watched & don't want to be spoiled!!*

What do you think about the series Mayogia now that it's over?

I know we have been talking about how freaking confusing it is over the weeks, and I was hesitant to give an opinion on the show until it ended, because I wasn't really sure how I'd like all the weird plot developments if there end didn't wrap them up well.

I've truly never experienced an anime like this one before.....it was one heck of a beast. I still don't know if this show was good or bad, but I guess that I was thoroughly entertained from start to finish??? It seems that way, anyways. I know, I know....the story was weird and all, but I actually had fun watching this show.
But was it....good? I really don't know. I don't think I'd really recommend it to anyone at this point because the magic would be totally lost when binging it. The real fun for me was trying to figure out what the heck is going on for the week in between episodes!!!
One thing I can really say I loved: that Yottsun chose to stay with Kami-sama. We need a spin off series of the misadventures of MC Yottsun and Kami-sama!!!!!
I'm just confused because I came into this show expecting a massacre, yet not a single character has died. Rather than death, we got was a therapy session on how to come to terms with your issues. I guess that's okay????

@masumisu02 Agreed!!! It could have been just given like super mystery with a bit of actual terror, but going the TERROR route then givnig us nothing really terrifying or deaths....its just not good
For as wild each episode was I have to say I'm pretty satisfied with the way it ended.
Yeah XD But the only thing I really enjoyed was the Opening and the Ending of Mayoiga @hikaymm
Imho, this anime sucks, it really does not have anything that does not suck, the dialogue was lazy and confusing, the plot was terrible and dont get me started on characters... Again imho one of the worst animes I've ever watched
Just finished this last night. The weekly wait up until ep10 was kind of annoying but necessary. It allowed your imagination to try to predict the story, only to throw a twist on during the beginning of the next episode. Before I watched the final episode, I binged the season, even having seen it before, it seemed all over the place. I think this may be because our minds use past experiences in life and anime to guide our thinking & expectations. I was disappointed in the lack of terror, death & mayhem but I went in thinking it would be more like Danganrompa. It does make you think about how much your past influences you as a person. Placed in the same circumstances, your perception, actions and feelings may be entirely different from others. I know how hard it can be to accept the past and wish to make it disappear. Accepting it is sometimes the hardest thing to do, but it makes us who we are. Removing that hardship might make us happier, but what else would we lose if we cut out a part of us by forgetting? I agree this wasn't an anime for everyone & I wouldn't recommend it to everyone. But it did make you think about how lucky you are to have survived and embraced your past instead of throwing it & the lessons learned away.
