I'm not much of a drinker, and yet when I DO drink, I'm a huge fan of craft beer. The craft industry has become HUGE over the years, and thanks to the efforts of brewmasters all over the world, we've been blessed with some pretty awesome collaborations - from Rogue and Portland's Voodoo Donuts to the latest from New Belgium:
New Belgium + Ben & Jerry's Chocolate Chip Cookie Dough Ale!
The limited edition brew is the second in a series of collaborations for charity the companies have done. Last year, they had a huge amount of success with their original, Salted Caramel Brown-ie Ale - served up as both a beer AND an ice cream offering.
The Chocolate Chip Cookie Dough Ale pays homage to Ben & Jerry's wildly popular cookie dough flavor while raising money for Protect Our Winters, a non-profit working to raise awareness around climate change.
According to an official New Belgium press release published earlier this week, their second collaborative beer might be arguably more important than their first:
"The beer in development tastes amazing, and we look forward to talking about climate change and climate action. With the upcoming election and a new administration, year two is even more important than the first round."
The beer will be sold in stores across the US starting this fall.
In the meantime, you can find more information about the collaboration on New Belgium's official website.
Are you going to try Chocolate Chip Cookie Dough Ale when it comes out?
