Absolutely! I think I've mentioned before how a lot of my friends were into anime long before I was, and I think they are a big part of the reason I finally dove into it (they didn't pressure me into it or anything, they would just talk about it and show me stuff about it, so I preliminarily had a pretty good idea that I'd love it if I ever got into it myself). Mostly I share my anime interests with my brother and my roommate, which you may have figured out since I think I talk/complain about them a lot! Sometimes I'll reconnect with friends from high school and fangirl about anime (among other things, just catching up); my former roommate, who played a big part in my early otaku days, is moving back by me, so we'll start hanging out again, much of which will probably consist of anime. We actually went to Anime Club together a few times before school took over our lives.
I haven't tried sharing any of it with my parents (I'd probably go for Psycho-Pass for them, since they like cop shows and stuff, and it's more adult oriented than most other anime I've seen; my dad would probably like it more than my mom, since she just kinda likes stuff that can be on in the background, but I get my geeky side from him), but I have tried pushing my sisters into it a little; one is more accepting than the other, but she doesn't seem to continue without me. I really want to show the older one Assassination Classroom, because I think, at the very least, she'll appreciate it, being a teacher herself, but she just kinda tuned out when I tried to show her RWBY, even though my other sister advocated that it was good and she should give it a chance. The younger one (they're both older than me) I managed to get into RWBY; I got her started on Soul Eater ages ago, but I don't think she got past 7 episodes, and I've tried showing her Noragami and Assassination Classroom, but I think she still kinda thinks anime's just for kids.
Last but not least, all of you lovely people (at least I assume you're people, but I don't judge!)! Since joining Vingle, my passion for anime has grown so much, in a liberating sense, and I'm so happy I can share that passion with all of you! I love you awesome nerds! (wow, it's been a while since I've done this but I guess IT'S TIME FOR ANOTHER ROUND OF GUESS THAT REFERENCE! This one might be a bit obscure, and not anime related, but whoever gets it wins imaginary internet treats and bragging rights!)
As always, hope you enjoyed! If you wanna learn more about me/ be my friend/ be tagged in these, please don't hesitate to ask! I'm nice, I swear (mostly ;p)! Or I guess you can follow my 100 Days of Anime collection, or both if you feel so inclined!
Until next time!
