When studying Spanish, Pablo Neruda was one of my favorite poets to dive into.

While I prefer his poetry in Spanish, his words in English are just as astonishing. Here are five short excerpts about love and life by Neruda.
"I love you without knowing how, or when, or from where. I love you simply, without problems or pride: I love you in this way because I do not know any other way of loving but this, in which there is no I or you, so intimate that your hand upon my chest is my hand, so intimate that when I fall asleep your eyes close."
― Pablo Neruda, 100 Love Sonnets
“I love you as certain dark things are to be loved,
in secret, between the shadow and the soul.”
― Pablo Neruda, 100 Love Sonnets
“I want
To do with you what spring does with the cherry trees.”
― Pablo Neruda, Twenty Love Poems and a Song of Despair
“If nothing saves us from death, at least love should save us from life”
― Pablo Neruda
“Take bread away from me, if you wish,
take air away, but
do not take from me your laughter.”
― Pablo Neruda
Tagging some Vingle poets :)
