Food Crush: Disney's Adorable Character-Inspired Dim Sum!

Like many, visiting a Disney park was probably one of the most memorable parts of my childhood.

Summer vacation on the East Coast meant road trips to Disney World and visits to Epcot Center. And when I finally moved to California? Let's just say that I definitely spent more than a few birthdays eating a Mickey-shaped ice cream bar on line for Space Mountain.
I've always wanted to visit one of the Disney parks abroad like Tokyo Disney or Disneyland Paris, and now that Shanghai Disney just opened up this week, I'm feeling an itch to get out there and visit the latest Happiest Place on Earth.

And what's first on my Shanghai Disney bucket list?

These dumplings were first perfected at Hong Kong Disneyland's Crystal Lotus, and grew to be so popular that Disney Parks was kind enough to offer them in Shanghai too!

Here are some of the menu's yummiest highlights:

Little Green Men Pork and Vegetable Bun

Three Little Pigs Barbecue Pork Bun

Chicken Little Steamed Lotus Seed Puree Bun

Mike Wazowski Shrimp Bun

Baymax Chaisui Pork Bun

Olaf Red Bean Bun

The park's multi-course dim sum set has proven to be such a hot seller that visitors must reserve their meal at least two days in advance - only a small drawback when compared to finally being able to enjoy the dumplings that were handmade JUST FOR YOU!

So who else has Disney dim sum on their travel bucket list?

awwww so cute DIE DIE DIE ^^
I want to try these! Especially the Baymax ones
@danidee yas that would be so perfect!
@DenisseSanchez Delicious murder.
@AnthonyShorey I know. It's why I've been dodging going to a Disney park in the past few years. It's gotten SO expensive.

Guys this isn't kpop related, I have posted this to all communities, but can we take a minute, or 10 that this video takes, to really understand what is going on in our world today. At first I flupped passed this video. I admit, I didn't want to watch something again about mass shootings. But then I clicked on it and watched all the way through. What are these emotions I am feeling. It is like Eugene unlocked a blocked door inside me and opened my eyes. YES I am in the generation of the millennials, YES I am 5 years younger than him, YES I can have a say in what happens next in my life time, YES there is ways we can start the change. I always keep saying that I want to live at sea for the sole reason of running away from humans and not standing up for what I BELIEVE. But if Eugene, a ordinary person can make a youtube video expressing his memories and emotions regarding this issue, than why can't I stand up and do the same? Here is me, standing up for what I believe. DO NOT stand to the side and talk about what you think should be done all the while not doing anything. DO NOT go into this up coming election blindly. DO NOT say anything is impossible. With time and enough motivation from people things can get done. Not just US millennials, but the entire global body can stand together and become ONE, United We Stand. Thank you Eugene for guiding me to this blocked door. I have opened that door and I'm willing to do everything in MY power to succeed in spreading word to thise who don't understand. This post isn't about guns and gun laws. It isn't about the LBGT community. It isn't about the presidential election this year. The sole purpose for this is to talk about VIOLENCE. The other topics fall into the place of violence. So please, take a moment and open your eyes and ears to what is really going on in our world and ask yourself this simple question, What Am I Doing That Can Help Our World Move Forward? Healthier Honey Sesame Chicken (It's Baked!)
We all have our guilty pleasures, and mine is definitely honey chicken. When I stumbled upon this recipe I was so excited to see a healthier take on a classic. The only difference is that it is baked! INGREDIENTS 1 lb boneless skinless chicken breasts, cut into 1.5 inch pieces kosher salt ground black pepper 2 eggs, beaten ½ cup + 1 tablespoon cornstarch 2 tablespoons vegetable oil Cooking spray ¼ cup honey ½ cup soy sauce (reduced sodium if possible) ½ cup ketchup 3 tablespoons brown sugar ¼ cup rice vinegar 1 tablespoon toasted sesame oil 1 teaspoon minced fresh garlic 2 tablespoons sesame seeds 2 tablespoons sliced green onions INSTRUCTIONS Preheat oven to 350 degrees.Place the chicken pieces in a large bowl, season generously with salt and pepper. Add ½ cup cornstarch to the chicken and toss to coat thoroughly. Dip each piece of coated chicken into the egg mixture, place onto a plate. Heat a large skillet over medium high heat. Add 1 tablespoon of vegetable oil to the pan and half of the chicken pieces. Make sure that the chicken pieces are all in a single layer. Cook the chicken until well browned, about 5 minutes, then flip the pieces and cook on the other side for another 5 minutes. Repeat the process with the remaining tablespoon of vegetable oil and other half of chicken. While the chicken is cooking, combine the honey, soy sauce, ketchup, brown sugar, rice vinegar, garlic, sesame oil and tablespoon of cornstarch in a bowl. Coat a 9x13 pan with cooking spray. Place the chicken pieces in a single layer in the pan. Pour the sauce onto the chicken pieces. Cook for 25 minutes until sauce is thick and bubbly. Garnish with sesame seeds and green onions.
China Prepares For Heavy Smog By Buying Lots Of Condoms.
It's no new news that China has a horrible air quality problem, and it's only been getting worse. Earlier this month, Beijing, the nation's capital, was issued its first-ever 'red alert', a severe government warning that encourages citizens to stay indoors as much as possible and to use extreme caution when having to go outside is necessary. Normally, this causes a surge in online sales. With families no longer being able to go outside, commerce shifts from shopping malls to computer screens, with residents buying anything from first aid supplies to sportswear, so they can catch up on some exercise once the air clears up. Oh, yeah. And they're also buying condoms. Uncommon amounts of them, in fact. According to Taobao.com, a national Amazon equivalent, the gap between condoms purchased in smog-heavy cities versus ones with clearer air widened considerably during the first couple weeks of December. It even got to a point where, by December 10, the number of condoms sold each day was consistently surpassing the number of air purifiers and masks. (You know, those things they probably need to help them breathe?!) The website concludes the surge in condom sales comes with a good explanation: "People have greater concerns of good child bearing [in air-polluted cities] and try to prevent getting pregnant on smoggy days." You can draw your own conclusions as to why Beijing has been getting (safely) down a lot more in the past few weeks, or if you're a completely immature human being like myself, you can tell everyone this story and follow it up with an "Air pollution and chill?" Let me know why YOU think, and for more WTF news, follow my WTF Street Journal collection.
