Hey guys! So this is my first ever fan fiction. I've always loved to write so I thought I'd give it a try! I'm gonna try my best to keep it short just in case no one likes it. Give me your honest opinion and let me know if I should keep going!
You are rudely woken up by your best friend yelling and pinching you. "It's time to get up! We have to get ready and get on the road!".
Groaning and pushing y/f/n off of you, you roll off the bed and walked to the bathroom to get in the shower. Your mind was racing with feelings of excitement and nervousness. It was finally the day you got to meet your favorite kpop group. Bangtan Boys.
They were the first group you ever heard. You now listened to Kpop more than American pop music. You listened to plenty of groups, but bts was always your favorite.
You didn't really have a favorite member. You love them each equally for their unique personalities. Although you can connect best with Namjoon because he spoke English.
You got out of the shower, brushed your teeth, and put your favorite circle lenses in. You then sat beside y/f/n and did your hair and makeup while jamming out to your favorite song, Cypher pt.2. Y/f/n looked at you in awe as you belted out every word and note perfectly. You finally got dressed in your favorite cool outfit since the event was outside and you didn't want to get too hot. You grabbed your bag, that was already packed with your ticket, camera, album for signatures, and your personal letter written to Namjoon. Your hands shook as you locked the door and walked to your car.
The drive was long and you felt yourself getting a bit hungry. You saw you still had plenty of time, even if there was traffic, so you decided to stop for breakfast. Y/f/n and yourself took a seat and ordered. She noticed how nervous you were and asked why.
"I didn't want to tell you, but I wrote Rap Monster a really personal letter and may have put my number at the end.." you whisper.
"y/n that's awesome! You're always so shy so I'm proud of you for doing something so bold! Don't be nervous! What's the worst that can happen? He doesn't text you. So what?! Can you read it to me?" says your friend with a giant smile on her face.
You both loved and hated when she smiled like that. It was a smile that could outshine the sun. So you hated it because you knew you couldn't refuse her.
The two of you have been close since you were in diapers. You were ecstatic when you introduced her to kpop and she liked it just as much as you.
"Y-yeah I guess." you stuttered. You rustled through your bag and finally pulled out the letter.
You started reading your words out loud. Words that took you weeks to get correct. You wanted this letter to be perfect, and after about 16 rough drafts you think you finally had it.
You wrote about how you've had issues with depression and self harm since you were 10. And how you always looked to music for an escape. You wrote about how you dropped out of school because of the abuse you received. How you started working because you thought that's what you wanted. How you moved into your own apartment at 18 and started going back to school because you were wrong. You were crying at this point because thinking about it makes you emotional. You told Namjoon that your life was a dangerous rollercoaster that you desperately wanted to come to a stop. You finally told him about when you found his group. You discovered them not long after they debuted. A pen pal from Korea was telling you about the music there and mentioned that you should check out this new group. You said that from that moment your life changed for the better. You learned about them slowly. Starting with their names and slowly analyzing their personalities. You started watching their Bangtan Bombs and instantly fell in love with them. You revealed to Namjoon that you quickly became much happier and stopped hurting yourself. That Bangtan helped you become a better version of yourself. You ended the letter by saying that you know bts has a lot of fans, and you know its a long shot, but you put your number and social media names at the bottom. Lastly you said how thankful you are that Bangtan came into your life, and that you're so happy you became a fan.
"So uh, yeah that's it." you said looking at your lap as you folded the letter and slid it back in your bag, reluctant to make eye contact with your friend.
Y/f/n sat in silence for a moment. When she finally spoke, her voice cracked causing you to look up at her with a concerned and surprised face.
"y/n that was beautiful! He has to at least respond to you with a thank you." she finally said.
You smiled and finished your meal in silence.
Back on the road, your nervous thoughts disappeared. You enjoyed the music and the beautiful day as you drove.
You arrived at the venue and went straight to the tent to trade in your ticket. You were given a wrist band for the concert, and a souvenir lanyard pass to the fan engagement's. You still had some free time before the fan signing began, so y/f/n and you explored the merchandise tents a bit. You bought a shirt that you'd been looking for as well as some other merch and some snacks. The two of you then made your way to the tent where the engagement would be taking place and quickly secured your spots in line. You didn't feel anxious for a change, so you made small talk with a few fans around you and even exchanged numbers.
After about 20 minutes of waiting, the boys finally made their first appearance.
The fans around you started screaming and jumping up and down while you surprised yourself with how calm you remained. You only clapped and smiled as the seven devilishly handsome men stood in front of the table and did their greeting. They then took their seats and a guard told the line to start moving. It felt like it took forever for it to be your turn, but you were finally standing in front of V. You smiled and bowed and spoke what little Korean you knew.
"Hello! my name is y/n. I'm so excited to meet you!" you said as you laid your album and a few pictures you had just bought on the table to be signed.
"Hello y/n! Nice to meet you. Thank you for coming to see us!" V said with a smile as he quickly signed your stuff. He totally butchered your name but you didn't mind.
The same thing happened as you passed Suga, Jimin, and Jin. Your experience with Jungkook was not at all how you imagined it. He was nothing like the shy Jungkook you were expecting. He signed your stuff quickly with little hearts and smiley faces. The person ahead of you wasn't finished yet, so you got to talk to Jungkook a bit more. You were surprised when you heard him say your name perfectly.
"Y/n?" he said.
"Hm?" you responded.
"Can I please see your phone?" he said with an innocent smile.
You were so surprised at both the question and how good his English was that you almost didn't reply. You looked at your phone in your hand.
"O-o h y-yeah, sure! Here you go!" you stuttered as you put in your pass code and handed him your phone.
You blushed, slightly embarrassed as he flipped your phone over to admire your case. It was a collage of the "meme" side of bangtan.
He just looked at you and laughed. He then held your phone up and took a few selfies. You looked at him in shock as he handed your phone back and said "Here, Jungkookie selcas for Noona!" with a smile. By that time the person ahead of you had finally moved on. So you giggled at Jungkook and bowed, moving forward.
J-hope was next. You greeted him and he spoke back in broken English. He quickly signed your things, then took hold of your hand. Not caring about the surprised expression on your face, he asked what your name was again. You repeated it slowly for him, being sure to annunciate. He sat quietly thinking for a moment. You swear you could see the gears turning in his head. He said your name again and again, you lost count at six. But he messed up every time. You giggled at his disappointed face. He heard you giggling and looked up.
"Its okay oppa! Don't be upset. You're cute when you struggle tho!" you said smiling brightly at him.
He looked at you for a moment, clearly thinking again. He then tried one more time and got it perfect. Realizing that he finally got it correct, he flashed you the brightest smile you've ever seen. It put your friends smile to shame. You stood there speechless as his bright smile dimmed to a devilish grin.
"And you, y/n, are cute when you're speechless! Now were even." he whispered, giggling. You smiled and bowed and moved on to the final member.
When you got your things in order, you looked up to see Namjoon smiling lightly at you. His beauty up close was almost enough to make you forget what you were going to say. You quickly snapped out of it and Greeted him.
"Your Korean is great! And you have a beautiful name. I really like your style y/n." He said in response, causing you to make a high pitched squeeking noise. You covered your face with your hands, mentally hitting yourself for making such an embarrassing noise. He laughed out loud an said it was adorable as he took to signing the items in front of him. You silently thanked him. You chatted while he signed. He finished and you were so caught in the moment you almost forgot about the letter.
"Oh Namjoon oppa! I almost forgot." you said as you place the letter on the table. You suddenly felt a hand gently place itself on top of yours.
"I know you probably don't read letters from army that often, but its really personal and I worked really really really hard on it! Its kind of to the whole group, but I'm giving it to you because I know you can read English." you babbled in a whisper as you looked down at your feet. You no longer felt the warmth of his hand, but you didn't look up.
Namjoon took his hand from yours, placed it on your chin and lifted your head.
"I will, without a doubt, read this tonight y/n. You're a beautiful girl and don't let others get you down. Thank you so much for being our fan. And thank you even more for staying strong!" he said in such a husky voice while holding intense eye contact that made every hair on your body stand on edge.
You stared at him for a moment, confused. You then realized that he must have seen your scars. That's why he said what he did.
"Thank you so much Namjoonie oppa." you said, fighting back tears. He then flashed you the goofy dimple smile that Namjoon was known for. You smiled back, did your final bow, grabbed your signed things and walked away.
You took shelter from the sun under a nearby tree and waited for y/f/n to finish. Your mind was spinning with all that just happened, so you didn't notice that your friend had finished and taken a seat next to you. You looked over to see her and screamed. Y/f/n burst out in laughter as you caught your breath.
"So how'd it go?" y/f/n asked when she finally finished laughing.
You stayed silent for a moment then simply said
"Better than I expected." with a smile.
You had this sudden strong gut feeling that you should keep your intense experience you yourself for now.

The two of you relaxed for a bit before the concert. The sun had gone down so you decided it was time to go find a good spot to stand. The two of you walked to the stage and the front was already packed. Luckily, your new friends from the fan engagement line saw you coming and motioned for you to come over. You were standing front and center. A few minutes passed and the lights shut off. The air filled with the instrumental music from Boy in luv. The fans around you started screaming as the stage lights turned on revealing Bangtan standing on stage. As soon as they started singing and dancing you lost yourself. You became completely engulfed in the moment. You sung and danced without a care in the world. Bangtan said a few words, then performed their final song, Forever Young. You pressed yourself against the stage and sang along, not caring about the tears running down your face. Then it was over.
Y/f/n and you walked back to the car, drenched in sweat and the water that Suga threw at the crowd. Your makeup was running down your face from the amount of crying you did, and your hair was thrown up in a frizzy bun. The post concert depression hit the two of you almost immediately, so you drove home in silence. You arrived at home and jumped in the shower reluctantly, not wanting to wash off the feelings of the day. When you finished, your friend did the same. You laid in bed and flipped through your camera, smiling and giggling to yourself at the amazing pictures and videos you were able to capture. You were even quick enough to catch the eye contact a few of the members made with your camera. You set the camera on the table beside your bed, and picked up your phone. You turned it on, posted a few pictures and shared how amazing your day was. Then you went on twitter to see if BTS had posted anything about how they liked your city. Sure enough, they made a few tweets about how much fun they had. They loved the scenery, and the new foods they got to try, but most of all they loved meeting army and the energy we had while they preformed. You set your phone down and turned on the TV as your friend walked out of the bathroom and took her place in bed beside you. Y/f/n sighed as you put on Pokémon, one of your favorite shows. Y/f/n quickly drifted off to sleep. As you were about to do the same your phone goes off. You look to see you received a text.
"Hey y/n. Its Namjoon."
