[SLANG] 남사친 vs. 남친 - Choose one!
Let's learn the difference between 남사친 (nam-sah-chin) and 남친 (nam-chin)!

남사친 (nam-sah-chin)

is used to describe a guy who is just a friend. Three words were basically combined to make this word! (nam) - comes from "남자" meaning "man" (sah) - is short for "사람" meaning "person" (chin) - comes from "친구" meaning "friend" A girl who is just a friend would be 여사친 (yeo-sah-chin).

남친 (nam-chin)

is your boyfriend. It's a shorter way to say 남자 친구 (nam-ja chin-gu) meaning "boyfriend". Sound familiar? 남자친구 also happens to be the name of a kpop boy group! 여친 (yeo-chin) = same thing as 여자친구 (yeo-ja chin-gu) meaning girlfriend.

All in all...

남사친/여사친 - Yeah, they're cute but only as a friend. 남친/여친 - this person drives me insane with their charms (boyfriend/girlfriend).
I would love to have Jackson (GOT7) as my 남사친 and Bang Yongguk (B.A.P) as my 남친.

WHAT ABOUT YOU GUYS?
