In US, it will be super weird if a male advertise a female product. It's a different story in Asia.
Due to the rise of idol dramas, it is not a surprise companies take advantage of the biggest audience (female) by having the hottest male celebs endorsing things like bra, lingerie, skin care and sanitary pad. Recently, Seo Kang Joon (Cheese in the Trap) was seen in feminine pad ad for Secret Key. It garnered a lot of reaction from fans.
It looks like this is a common marketing strategy.
So Ji Sub advertising for bras. I never thought I would see something like this in my life but it's true.
Aaron Yan advertising for sheet mask. They even had an event promotion where they raffle the name of the purchaser and Aaron will put the face mask on them.
Jiro Wang advertising for sanitary pad.
Due to complaints of false advertisement, China advertisement law passed a new guideline where the ambassador will have to try on the products before endorsing the item. Which makes sense!
