Cotton candy was invented by William Morrison, a dentist from Nashville, Tennessee, and John C. Wharton, a fellow Nashville candy maker in 1897. It was originally called "Fairy Floss." Dr. Morrison was also a popular children's book writer. http://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pubmed/16092607' http://www.straightdope.com/columns/read/1738/who-invented-cotton-candy
haha I thot dentists always ask us to steer clear of sugary stuff. Cotton candy tastes good but be sure you are not in a windy place when munching it, otherwise you will get a sweet face ! ; )
