When I came to, I was in a very soft, smooth, and squishy. I sat up fast, because the squishy was an arm. I woke the owner, and instantly look down to make sure I was dressed.
The arm's owner turn on the lights, and shine a ray of relief. "Hey, you okay?" I turn to see the person was Simon himself. "What the fuck, why am I in a bed with you?" He softly chuckled, pet my head and got up.
"Cause I don't know where you live." I got up to follow him into the kitchen. The sun light was trying to find its way inside the apartment, allowing me to see where I was going. "Coffee?"
He looked up at me, as he started to brew coffee. "Yes please, and why the bed, you could of put me on the couch. At least I wouldn't be judgin you." He glance at me, after getting two mugs.
"I did... you woke up in the middle of the night and came into the room." I blinked and looked away to try and remember. "You said you were cold, but I only have one blanket, so I offer to share the bed with you."
I closed my eyes, and recalled my older brother telling that if I get cold in a strangers house, I would sleep walk to warmth like a snake. "Mianhae, I tend to sleep walk when I'm cold. Why my brother calls me a snake."
Simon chuckled, as he pulled me closer to him. "So that why you cuddle me last night? I thought it was cause we were close finally." He let go of my hand, and went into the fridge.
My heart was racing so fast, when he held my arm. I rubbed my chest like I had heart burn, to try to calm myself down. "Do you like milk, or cream?" I turn to see what kind of milk he had before answering.
"I'll do the cream." I help myself to the sugar, and put in a few spoonfuls. "Want me to get you an anti-acid? Look like you had heart burn." My heart pace went back up when he touch my arm.
I swear I was going to lose my mind soon because of his touch. I got the hint the first time from my heart, but my brain in control and knows I can't act on my feelings for him. "Nah, I'll be fine."
He handed me the cream after I answer him. He gently touched my forehead to check for a fever, then shrugged it off. "Alright, you don't have a fever so I'll take your word for it." He made his coffee his way, and left me standing in the kitchen alone.
I just looked down at the creamer in my hands. I had never felt so confused in my life. That, and feeling torn being true to myself, and my job. A hand touch my head, startling me. I had almost drop the creamer, but ended up hugging it close to myself.
"Nice catch, but why so jumpy? Not sure coffee is a good move for you." He took the creamer from my embrace, and place the empty mug back in its home. He put his coffee down, before coming over to me, and putting my head between is hands.
Simon made me look up at him, and lean in closely. "You okay Lavi-ah? You don't seem to be your usual self." I saw the concern in his eyes, and my brain won the first battle of war with my heart.
"Ne, I tend to get alert more when I'm recovering from a hangover. It an effect of my course training for becoming a bodyguard." He didn't say a word, just let go of my face and nodded his head.
Simon did pick up his coffee and went back out the kitchen. Oh man was I screw now, I had started to fall for one of my charges. It was unacceptable, and I was going to need to break it fast, but first had to figure out how to do just that.
