unrelated but i seriously need help.
So recently people have posted cheer up cards and although they help for a moment, they arent long term. I dont know how many people will see this or even care, but if you have a tag list it would help ( @kpopandkimchi ).
My birthday was recently and i found out on my birthday that i didnt recieve a huge scholarshup that would make me only have to pay 4,000 dollars...cutting the story short i balled my eyes out and i am honestly scared i am the first in my family to get into a university, im a valedictorian, and an outstanding student despite my anxiety and depression among ither issues...like studying and learning new things makes me happy so it helped...but all of that is coming to an end
i have to come up with a way to come up with 14,000 dollars that i otherwise wouldnt have to worried about if i got this scholarship. no one in my family knows how to do this whole thing and im lost. and im so close to breaking down becausr the anxiety of having 100k in debt by the end of my 4 years. i am so desperate i am even setting up a go fund me...but i dont think that wi get any support worth doing it... so please if you have tips or resources for college freshman on how to come up with 14k to go to a school of her dreams and be the first in her family to graduate university it woulf be greatly appreciated... i just dont want to get my hopes up for something i really want only to be kicked out because i cant pay everything.
im sorry for the downer im just so lost and have no idea what to do

I'm also a college freshman and I definitely agree with @KpopGaby about thinking about taking out students loans if need be. However, you also have the option to do a work-study. Ask your college about it. Essentially you'll be working at the school to help pay off your tuition. The plus to this is that the college will work with your hours so that it doesn't put as much of a pressure on you. I hope that helps! Fighting! :)

Bebe girl, i graduated in December. I took out student loans, and applied for a pale grant to help me through college. Every little bit helps. Schools also have a payment plan for every month, to pay so much a month towards your tuition. Don't give up, and keep moving forward. I am so sorry you're stressed and I hope your stress will be relieved soon. I agree with the others to not be afraid of you taking out student loans. Just because you didn't get a scholarship for your first semester, doesn't mean you won't get one in your next. Just continue to apply for them.
