What did your parents scold you the most about as a kid?

My mom was a nutritionist, so instead of scolding us about normal things like not taking out the trash or picking on each other, she scolded me for ordering too much fried food at restaurants and buying non-reduced-fat ice cream. THE STRUGGLE WAS REAL.

Average issues, though I do believe the rules were a bit more detailed. After all, I was raised in a religion, and it's working well for me.

my mom was a holistic health nut. all about portion sizing, and natural health. I spent most of my childhood hearing "you're going to eat yourself sick" and "if you keep eating that you're going to get sugar diabetes" my personal favorite "if you don't take your vitamins you'll have a heart attack before you're 20, is that what you want?". add on a healthy dose of paranoia "stay where I can see you, pretty little girls get a high price on the black market." yeah...I love my mom :)

My parents would always scold me about not paying attention. Turns out I have ADHD :p
