Too Much Chapter 4: Unexpected Surprise
Hello everyone, here is chapter 4. Thank you for those who have been reading and to any newcomers. I apologize for the short chapter, but it seemed a natural break so that the next chapter would not be crazy long. Because this chapter is so short, I will try to post the next chapter after 1 day instead of 2.
Disclaimer: Many of the characters aside from BTS are made up. And, of course, I don't know BTS personally so their personalities are probably mostly fictional.
Character thoughts are in {} and words in English are bolded. Let me know if you would like to be tagged in future chapters. Please forgive me for any mistakes I make and I hope you enjoy!

Narrator POV
It was early Saturday morning when there was a knock on the front door. After a moment, Nina opened the door. Seven boys stood on the doorstep. {Damn are they good-looking}, she thought.
“Can I help you?” she asked slowly in Korean. After two years, she still wasn’t that great with the language.
“Is Rose-sshi here?” one of the boys asked.
“Ummm. Yes. Who are you?”
“We are working with her. For our English.” Another boy answered.
“Oh, ok, I see. Please come in.” Nina stopped them at the entrance. “Give me a sec.” She opened the shoe closet to pull out extra slippers. “Sorry, but one- has to wear- mine- and one- to wear Rose’s. Not enough.” Rose and Nina usually preferred to walk barefoot, especially when the weather was getting warm, so there were just enough slippers.
“Follow me. I think she is in her—study, I have not see her come out.” The boys followed Nina up the stairs and down a hallway to the first room on the right. She knocked on the door, but there was no answer. As she opened the door and walked in, the boys crowded around the entrance. Nina motioned for them to wait as she made her way to the figure laying on the couch. A small desk lamp was still on and the boys could sse papers scattered everywhere. Some were crumpled into a ball and thrown carelessly towards a trashcan in the corner by a desk, some were stacked in seemingly random spots, and some were loose and scattered. Nina gently shook the figure’s shoulder.
Mm. What’s up?” Rose asked sleepily rubbing her eyes. She slowly sat up and started to stretch.
When did you go to sleep?”
Mmmm...” Rose grabbed her phone from the table in front of the couch. “Mmmm... about mmm... 10 minutes ago? I think.” She started stretching again and put on glasses she had not been wearing the last time the boys saw her.
Sorry I woke you up.”
Nah, it’s ‘k. I should get back to work anyways. Plus, that dream was starting again.”
Ok then. Well, come downstairs when you’re up, ok?
Mmm. Give me a minute.”
Nina gestured for them to be quiet and to go ahead. In the room, Rose stood up and pulled down her shirt that was bunched up just below her bra and continued to stretch. Jungkook, Taehyung, and Jimin were still standing at the door and saw. Their faces turned a bright red and they scrambled to get to the stairs. Nina told them to wait in the living room while she went towards the kitchen.
“Have you eat yet?” Nina asked, sitting down to finish her breakfast.
“Yes, ma’am.” They spoke up together.
“Ok. Umm... why- do you come- on Saturday? Usually- Rose does not work- on Saturday.”
Our manager said we needed help with something and he called Julie. Julie said that Rose would probably have time, but that she was too scary to for her to ask. So, if we wanted help, we would have to ask her in person. It would be harder for her to say ‘no’ that way.” Namjoon answered.
Oh! You speak English! You must be the one she mentioned.” Namjoon looked at her questioningly. “Oh, she just mentioned that there was someone in the group she was going to be helping that already knew English. That they were going to make it easier for her.”
The other boys just looked at each other confused, only catching a few words and phrases at a time.
“Why are your faces so red?” Hoseok asked, directed towards the three youngest boys. The maknae line just looked at each other and blushed even more. Then everyone’s attention was on them. They were about to speak up when they heard music coming from the direction of Rose’s room. They fell silent as they saw Rose appear and start shuffling towards the stairs, some sort of American rock music playing from her phone. She was obviously still half-asleep and couldn’t keep her eyes, which had dark circles under them, open. She made a bee-line straight for the fridge and grabbed an energy drink, chugging some of it. She sat down and laid her head down on the table and grabbed an apple slice off of Nina’s plate.
Hey! Make your own breakfast.” Nina smacked Rose’s hand.
Mm. In a sec. Let me wake up.” Rose ate the slice and started rubbing her face vigorously. She brushed her hair with her fingers and walked towards the living room with the intention of watching TV. She was facing the couch about to sit down when she realized that the couches weren’t empty. She just stood there with a blank face. Until...
NINA! What the hell?!” Rose stormed over to Nina and started whispering furiously in her ear. Nina started laughing which just pissed Rose off even more. When Rose turned around to question the boys they had already moved to the entryway of the kitchen. She turned off the music and glared at them through her glasses, her eyes still a little puffy from sleep, or lack thereof. “Why are you here on a Saturday? And why are you here in general?”
The boys were looking at each other with a ‘you tell her’ look. Rose crossed her arms and started tapping her foot. She was more annoyed than angry, but she was still pretty mad. And they were starting to try her already short patience. The boys pushed Namjoon to the front. {That’s the only thing being a leader is good for. To try to get me in trouble instead of them}, he grudgingly thought. Finally, he spoke.
“Manager-hyung said that we need to work on something today and he called Julie and Julie said that you were too scary for her to ask so if we want help we would have to ask in person because if we called you, you would probably say ‘no’.” After a few seconds, her expression softened and she responded.
“Hm. Well, to start with, that was quite an impressive sentence to say in one breath. Next, I have to kill Julie on Monday. Finally, what do you need help with anyway? Why today and not Monday like Park-sshi said?”
“Well, apparently they booked us for an American magazine interview on Monday. We’ll need your help at the place on Monday, but hyung said that we should be able to at least speak some intelligible English—which was obviously not directed at me.” He smirked at the last statement, making Rose let out a laugh.
“Alright, alright. Fine. Let me finish my drink, eat some breakfast, and put my face on. Then we can start. Where are we going to go? Your dorm?”
“Or here?” Rose gave Namjoon a look and he quickly added sheepishly, “If that’s ok, of course. Otherwise we can go to the dorm.” Rose thought about it for a moment while she sipped on her drink.
“Do you have your sample questions with you?” They nodded. “Nina, what are you doing today?
Probably going shopping. If I’m at home though, don’t worry. I’ll stay out of your way.”
“Alright then, since we’re already here, I supposed we can work on it in the living room. Just give me about 20 minutes and then we can start. You can watch TV until then if you like or try to catch a nap.” As soon as she said that, Yoongi made his way to one of the couches. The boys laughed and joined Yoongi on the couches.
Rose very quickly got ready for the day. At the end of 15 minutes, she made her way back down the stairs in a jeans and t-shirt getup, minus the glasses, and light makeup concealing the dark circles under her eyes. By the bounce in her step, it looked like the energy drink was finally starting to kick in. The boys were passed out on the couches and Nina was still sitting at the table scrolling through her phone.
They look so sweet when they’re sleeping.” Rose quietly spoke, gesturing towards the boys.
Not only when they’re sleeping, right?” Nina playfully elbowed Rose.
Shut it.”
How ‘bout the one you like? Isn’t he just adorable?” Rose hushed Nina and tried to put a hand over her mouth. Nina managed to avoid it. “What? They’re asleep anyway. Besides, they probably can’t understand us.
They might not be asleep and I bet they understand a bit, at least that much. Besides, I don’t want you to get in the habit of opening your big mouth.” As she made her way over to the living room, toast in hand, three of the boys continued to pretend that they were asleep.
Once again, sorry for the short chapter, but I will hopefully make up for it tomorrow. I hope you're enjoying the story. Please let me know if you have any questions or comments. Constructive criticism is always welcome. And please let me know if you would like to be tagged in further chapters. I look forward to seeing you next chapter!
