Michael Wolf - Architecture of Density (urban landscapes of Hong Kong)
Michael Wolf a German Photographer did a series called, "Architecture of Density" a fews years ago. It's about an exhibition of large scale photographs of cluttered Hong Kong high-rise apartment buildings. Hong Kong is one of the most densely populated metropolitan areas in the world. Almost all of its citizens live in these high-rise buildings. Through 'Architecture of Density', Wolf researches into these vibrant city buildings, and finds astonishing abstractions in the buildings' exterior. Even though you can't really see people living in these buildings through the images, I could still sense how it would be like to live in Hong Kong. Busy… and chaotic… world. Michael Wolf says that he finds in each building a singular character, despite its functional purpose and massive form.
