From the film Do the Right thing. Definitely one of my favorite movies. You probably know the Public Enemy song "Fight the Power," which was produced in response to Spike Lee's request for a song to fit the film's theme of racial tension. The film follows a neighborhood of Brooklyn on one of the hottest days of the year. It's the late 80s, and Bed-Stuy is experiencing a change in demographics- Whites are moving out, while African Americans Hispanics Americans become the majority, and some Asian immigrants. The heat brings out the concealed tension between the different races. Check out some clips above.
