Taco Bell and Doritos are going to keep working together to produce 'wholesome' foods for umm... late night consumption. I think this is one thing that demonstrates how Taco Bell and Chipoltle are really in different markets. This leads me to believe that Taco Bell's Cantina Bell menu of higher quality and pricier products will fail. Taco Bell specializes in cheap, filling, junk food. In contrast, Chipoltle sells itself as a real restaurant. By trying to compete at higher levels, Taco Bell is just removing its comparative advantage. People already associate it with cheap and low quality, and it will be difficult (if not impossible) to change that.
