---7 Days Ago--- Jung Kook was walking down the street when he saw the small ice cream shop on the other side of the road and crossed the street without delay. Something cold is just what he needed to kill this summer heat. He was about to go in when he noticed the girl behind the counter. He stopped suddenly and lingered outside to make sure she was who he thought she was. Yes. It was her. Those eyes were unmistakable. "Cream" he whispered. He couldn't contain the smile forming on his lips. "Of all the people in the world, I come to find you here" Pacing around, he was trying to decide whether or not he should go in. Then he remember the last time he saw her and stopped. He had made her cry. "Girls don't forget those kind of things do they?" He asked himself running a hand through his hair. When he had given up going inside, he saw the "help wanted" sign on the window and smiled.
---Present Time--- "Cream?" It's been a while since she heard that nickname. She turned around and said "it's pronounced Kyurim". She saw the look of amusement on his face. "I'm sorry" he apologized, "I keep forgetting it's pronounced Kyurim." "He is testing me, isn't he?" She thought, "well, I won't give him the satisfaction." "Don't worry, when you're living in South Korea that mistake happens quite often" she asserted. Moving to the register she said, "now let me show you how to use the cash register." She keep mumbling and pressing keys around but Jung Kook couldn't help but stare at her. She had gotten so beautiful. Time had certainly been nice to her. That black raven hair and those beautiful gray and steely eyes he remembered looked more charming than ever.
"Are you there?" A pair of hands waved in front of Jung Kook finally bringing him out of his trance. "Are you paying attention?" " I'm not going to repeat myself again if you're not paying attention" she said exasperated. Jung Kook couldn't help but smile, "sorry, I got lost in thought for a moment there." Jung Kook wasn't worried that he missed the complete explanation of how to use the register. He had handled a cash register before. They were all basically the same, anyways. "So, how did you end up in South Korea?" He asked. "Military brat" she answered. "I see" Jung Kook assented. "You speak very nice Korean" "Yes, well my parents thought it would be a good idea to go to school outside the army base." "They said it would be good for me to learn a new language." "Was it hard to learn?" Jung Kook asked. "At the beginning, I hated it. It gave me a headache" "I couldn't understand how could a language be so hard but then I got immersed in the culture. I learned about Kpop and Kdramas and well, let's just said I found the motivation I needed to study harder" she said while smiling. Jung Kook laugh at her reasoning. "Well, let me tell you, it's nice to be able to talk to you without any misunderstandings" he said. Suddenly, Kurim froze in place. The change in her expression let Jung Kook know that he had messed up...again.
