Who Said It: Zoolander Vs. Bieber?
Welcome to this week's edition of 'Who Said It'! Every week, I ask put two different popular movies, roles, or actors head-to-head to see if you can identify who said what. This week, I am celebrating the return of Derek Zoolander with a 'Zoolander' themed showdown! Who said it? International male model Derek Zoolander? Or the equally absorbed (and, admittedly, also kind of dumb) Justin Bieber? The rules are simple: 1) Read the quote in your best really, really, ridiculously good-looking voice. 2) Guess who said it: Justin Bieber or Derek Zoolander. 3) Swipe the quote to the left to reveal the right answer. 4) Share your results below! Will you be able to tell the difference? Quote #1: Quote #2: Quote #3: Quote #4: Quote #5: Quote #6: So, how did you do? Did you get them all right? Let me know how you did in the comments below! Katherine Langford
Katherine Langford (born 29 April 1996) is an Australian actress. She is known for starring as Hannah Baker in the 2017 Netflix series 13 Reasons Why (2017), based on the novel of the same name, for which she received a Golden Globe Award nomination. In 2018, she appeared as Leah Burke in the romantic comedy-drama film Love, Simon (2018). Early life Langford was born in Perth and raised in Perth, Western Australia. She is the eldest daughter of Elizabeth Langford, a pediatrician, and Stephen Langford, a flying doctor and director of medical services at the Royal Flying Doctor Service Western Operations. She began voice lessons in 2005, and received classical, jazz, and contemporary vocal training. She was offered a place at Perth Modern School for her senior high years, where she studied music and drama, and was sports captain and a nationally ranked swimmer. Katherine Langford – “Le Defile L’Oreal Paris 2021” : Runway – Paris Fashion Week Initially during her time at high school, Langford was interested in medicine and politics, in addition to musical theatre. However, in 2012, when Langford was 16, she attended Lady Gaga’s concert, the Born This Way Ball, which inspired her to learn how to play the piano. She shared video of herself singing three original songs she wrote: “I’ve Got a Crush on Zoe Bosch,” “Young and Stupid,” and “3 Words.” “Young and Stupid” is an anti-suicide song she wrote in 2013 after three Perth teens took their lives. For her final year at Perth Modern, Langford stopped swimming and switched her focus to music and performance. She was successful in a number of musical eisteddfods and drama competitions. Langford appeared in the school’s production of Hotel Sorrento in 2013 and graduated that same year. After graduating high school, Langford was determined to become an actor. However, she was rejected from every acting school she applied to, on the grounds she was too young and did not have enough life experience. This led her to begin enrolling in acting classes and workshops in Perth, juggling three part-time jobs, and later finding herself an agent. From 2014 to 2015, Langford studied at the Principal Academy of Dance & Theatre Arts, majoring in Music Theatre, and appeared in a production of Godspell. She was then one of five selected to participate in the National Institute of Dramatic Arts Advanced Actors Residency in 2015. In the same year, she trained at Nicholson’s Academy of Screen Acting and portrayed the role of Juan Perón’s mistress in the 2015 production of Evita. Langford was offered a position in the Bachelor of Arts program in Acting at the Western Australian Academy of Performing Arts and intended to begin studies in 2016. However, she never enrolled and instead pursued professional roles. Career Langford appeared as the lead character in a small independent short film, Daughter (2016) which debuted at the 2016 Cannes Film Festival. At the end of 2016, after declining the offer from Western Australian Academy of Performing Arts, Langford auditioned and was asked to test for Riverdale, and Will, a television series centered on the young life of William Shakespeare. She did not get either role, which were instead given to Lili Reinhart, and Olivia DeJonge. Langford auditioned for the role in the mystery teen drama TV series 13 Reasons Why over Skype and had only 10 days to get an O-1 visa as she had not worked in the United States before. She has received critical acclaim for her portrayal of the American high school student Hannah Baker in 13 Reasons Why. Langford researched the role, speaking with a representative of the sexual assault awareness campaign “It’s On Us” and a psychiatrist who specializes in adolescence. In December 2016, she signed with the William Morris Endeavor agency. In 2018 Langford appeared in her first feature film, Love, Simon, an adaptation of the coming-of-age novel Simon vs. the Homo Sapiens Agenda, by Becky Albertalli. Katherine Langford – ‘Knives Out’ European Premiere In 2019, Langford co-starred in Knives Out, a murder mystery film. The ensemble cast received critical acclaim, and she was part of various awards and nominations for the role, which included a Critics’ Choice Award nomination for Best Cast. In 2020, she starred in the film Spontaneous, a well-reviewed, dark comedy for which she received a Critics’ Choice Super Awards nomination for Best Actress in a Science Fiction/Fantasy Movie. On 12 September 2018, it was announced that Langford had been cast in the web television series Cursed. Set in an re-imagined Arthurian world, Langford portrays Nimue, a teenage girl destined to become the Lady of the Lake. It premiered on Netflix in July 2020. Why Hilary Duff's Clothes Shouldn't Define Her Motherhood
Stop slut shaming. Why is it that every time a mom posts a picture of herself where she feels good, the internet has to tear her down because it's too sexy, too provocative, or too inappropriate? Check out the picture that has garnered 118k likes and over 1,000 comments! Hilary Duff, don't let the haters get to you. The 28-year-old mom is under major heat after posting this photo on Tuesday of the outfit she wore to pick up her son Luca from school. Though Duff was feeling 'semi cute' in her very short shorts, tan top, and long trench, many fans had other opinions on her outfit. While Duff did invite her fans to tag themselves in their own #ootd, she got a reaction that were quite the opposite of what she had probably hoped for. "Hey moms! I came up with a semi cute outfit for school drop off! I usually roll in sweat pants or lulu lemons and look like a disaster but this morning I managed to throw something cute together and I thought I would share," Duff captioned the photo. "Cut offs or jeans. A light weight trench over a sweater or tee, cross body bag sneaks or booties and a pair of Sunnies! Now you try! Tag me in your photo (annnnd you don't have to wear such a serious face haha)." Everything from Instagram user señoritaatomasita writing, "I am sorry, the only issue that I have with her outfit is how tiny her shorts are. It given men mix signals about it's okay for them to cat call a female because what she wears. Plus the outfit does not posh" to other user simplelittleway writing, "I have always like her but no way is this appropriate. They look like panties. To whoever said the only ones bothered by this are insecure moms that never lost their baby fat. I love my body and I am thin. I however would never pick my son up in that. It's inappropriate for kids to see woman in their panties. Also I would not want to embarrass my son." Some moms are furious. However, not everyone has the same opinion. Instagram user iledahorsetowater wrote, "Rock it! What is up with all the negativity?? I think you are doing a fabulous job!" Even user shenry1977 loves Duff's style, "Your outfit rocks! Haters = motivators!!!" Many other moms commented that Duff is looking better than ever and there is no reason to retire the shorty shorts to fit a very skewed social standard. Women who support other women, we need more of this. But here's the thing, Duff should be able to wear this because she feels comfortable and it makes her happy. For a society that constantly promotes feminism and girls uniting with other girls to combat slut shaming and gender stereotyping, the negativity comments are doing just the opposite. A mom can be a mom AND sexy, pretty, cute, gorgeous, stunning, funny, and appealing. Just because you have a child does not mean that a woman should sacrifice her identity. Everyone freaked out weeks ago about Kim Kardashian's almost full nude mirror pick and it looks like the same haters have made their way to Duff's post. Leave Duff alone, she looks amazing. One word : WERK.
