Ok~ I've held my tongue this far.
IT'S TIME FOR A SPEECH!
Call me biased, seriously, please do, because when I say that these men (THESE OPPAS.... mianhae) started from the bottom and climbed their way up, they did.

Beyoncé - Irreplaceable
Let's take a second to reminiscence on that.
As we laughed our butts off at Cars, the Pixar movie, or danced around to Timberlake's SexyBack, on the other side of the world, 5 incredible individuals were releasing their first singles and plunging into the entertainment world of South Korea. Competing against first generation Kpop Idols like Shinwa, Turbo, Super Junior, and many more artists.
That being said, they're popularity didn't take off until their first mini album, Always, with Lies becoming a hit.
Globalization was still at a minimum concern in the musical market. Yes, many dreamed of making it to Hollywood, attending the Grammy's, the Oscars, the things that we in America never thought much of.
Honestly, I remember riding in the car back when I was 9, singing along to Justin Timberlake's My Love, oblivious to the fact that a 16 year old panda was probably doing the same.
I'm not saying that BIGBANG broke barriers and created the global industry we have today, but they might as well should have!
Much respect and love is stored in my heart for their constant pushing towards the top, the restless nights GD would spend producing and writing, the injuries Taeyang must have sustained after practicing without rest, how much Daesung had to sit quietly and smile through all the scoldings that Papa YG would give the members, and the countless teasing Seungri would receive from TOP and the rest of the hyungs.
There isn't a moment in their careers that you can't find a relation to, just like there isn't a song in their 150+ collection that can't describe exactly how you feel about something on any given day of the week.
I don't know these men on a personal basis, I can't tell you exactly how they act, what their specific interests are, any quirky things/habits they have, we can only imagine, or wait till Seungri and TOP spill secrets.... (:3).
What I can tell you is how proud I am of these five weirdos. I may not have been there in the beginning to watch and support them throughout their long and curvy journey in the past decade, but that isn't going to stop me from watching them and supporting them in the upcoming decade.
Call me biased, seriously, I don't mind. It's not offensive, I'm a proud VIP, and every tear I shed because of their music, every long and drastic whine I wail from seeing them meet their fans, and all the fangirling I do whenever I see their videos or performances on YouTube, further shows that I am bias for BigBang.
For the Kings of Korean Pop Music.
