John Kerry has stated that "The policy of the United States with respect to all settlements is that they are illegitimate." The presence and continued expansion of Israeli settlements in occupied Palestine is a major obstacle in efforts to establish peace in the middle east. More than 500,000 Israelis live in over 120 illegal settlements. The United Nations regards these settlements as illegal because the territories were captured by Israel in a 1967 war and are thus subject to the Geneva Conventions. The Geneva Conventions forbid construction on occupied lands. I would like to see the U.S. actually do something about this, instead of just reaffirming the illegality of the annexation.
Without disrespecting any being, where one lives who is not the rightful resident of the land or home be regard as ?

Is the statement made by John Kerry applicable to land within the United States? Since UN had affirmed and defined Palestine land as owned and rightful, then making that statement is not going to bring much peace. In fact, it just reinforcing US of being in favor toward Israeli settlement. So, as I mentioned without disrespecting any being. just a 2cent value.

Oh I see, I think the statement is more of a condemnation of Israeli policy than anything else.
