He has also said to me "when I go to the store I usually get whats on the manikin" yes believe it or not that's what men do when they go shopping. Nana here to the rescue to help you out my handsome beau's!
For Fall/Winter 2016/2017, the dominant palettes for menswear all confirm various themes that place a renewed focus on contemporary sport, archetypes of men’s uniforms, and plenty of luxe classics that can translate to cityscapes or country scenes. The color stories for next fall/winter are a dependable indicator of palette shifts to come in seasons ahead. From hyper-masculine midtones to frosty pastels, active-inspired brights and a refreshing batch of urbane neutrals, this palette from the editors at Fashion Snoops is sure to inspire you for the season ahead.

OUTLAND - MIDTONES PALETTE

Warm mid-tones are as inspired by the changing autumnal landscape as the time-honored industrial terrain of the city. Red-cast browns continue to be important to the Contemporary menswear market, nicely pairing with saturated shades of olive and gold. In addition, a decidedly orange base for rusted copper and ginger emphasizes the rugged impact of these “new neutrals.”

Rusted Copper

Slightly weathered shades of orange and copper become a must-have “new neutral,” especially for woolen outerwear and cozy tailored clothing.

Turkish Coffee

Red-cast shades of brown continue for another season, often shown in a head-to-toe way and a great option for rich leathers and dense jersey and neoprene.

Ginger

The new camel for F/W 15 is ginger, with a decidedly more yellow cast than before. Adding a surprising level of sophistication to utilitarian classics, it is a novel option for the season.

SOVEREIGN - JEWEL TONES PALETTE

The majestic undertones of fall/winter once again add a romantic emphasis to plush fabrics and dramatic layers. Much brighter than the jewel tones of last winter, it’s the shades of peacock and spruce green that really are influential. Also, shades like garnet, mulled wine, and majesty purple have a decidedly blue base which accentuates a masculine new approach. Saphire is one of the riches tones for next season, which come in a less saturated look than the cobalt blue found in the grouping of brights.

Spruce

One of the key colors for all markets is a blue-based shade of spruce green. Often shown in head-to-toe ways, it looks refreshing for fabrics like cotton sateen and even wool flannel for oversized overcoats.

IMPLUSE - BRIGHTS PALETTE

For the last couple of years, a vast array of brights have breathed new life into winter palettes that are typically dominated by autumnal shades and jewel tones. Colors like fox hunt red, hazard orange, and dandelion all inject a primary-inspired energy into assortments, while snorkel blue is less saturated than the digital blue of prior seasons. Royal flush is a surprising shade of magenta pink for menswear, and soft acid is the perfect confirmation for the many romantic, languid, yet quirky themes that are sure to come.

Soft Acid

Artificial tones of citron green breathed new life into fuzzy mohair sweaters and other basic fall styles. With an almost electric level of intensity, it is one of the most directional hues of next season.

COMPOSITION - NEUTRALS PALETTE

The large group of neutrals is probably the strongest group of colors for F/W 15/16, easily crossing across all markets and fabrics or patterns. These “new neutrals” are sellable, seasonless options, and all have a certain, subtle masculine undercurrent running through them. Folk stone and bounty become the new khaki and camel for the season, with slight pink and green casts. Like other groups, the greens are the strongest, with concrete pond now becoming one of the most essential colors for outerwear and knits. Dark neutrals like silver spring and shale, and tried-and-true blues like steel blue and dark dawn continue to bring out a kind of rugged edge for tailored clothing and coats.

Folk Stone

The new taupe for the season is a cooler version of khaki with a bit of a pink cast. Adding dimension to basic silhouettes and classic jackets or outerwear, it’s a neutral to watch for coming seasons.

Concrete Pond

A grey-based shade of green is taking the menswear market by storm. A perfect complement to tailored grey and navy blue, it’s masculine yet novel at once.

Shale

A chilly purple-based charcoal grey is a beautiful extension of the many neutrals for fall/winter. With tactile-heavy fabrics, you can see the added dimension from such a rich and moody shade.

HAZE - PASTELS PALETTE

Watery pastels have crossed over into all seasons as of late, and they are as dreamy as they can be masculine. Brisk pewter and smoke ember have a green base that is perfect for cozy tweeds and dense woolens. Ceramic and iced mauve bring out a gentle layer of sweetness for otherwise icy styling, and ivory tusk is one of the must-have hues for nubby coats and high-pile shearlings and furs.

Ivory Tusk

A full range of winter whites look classy and refined for all men’s markets. With a very understated foundation of pink, this natural and organic option is great for cozy layers and deconstructed tailoring.

Ceramic

Delicate tones of power blue are a surprising option for fall/winter assortments. With a clean surface with the perfect amount of white, it emphasizes lightweight layers and techno materials.

6 Easy Ways To A Smooth Neck
Because the skin on your neck is some of the thinnest on your body, it is also one of the first places to show signs of ageing. Here are six ways to make your neck look younger and address everything from sun damage to sagging on this delicate area. 1. WEAR SUNSCREEN EVERY SINGLE DAY. Your dermatologist will agree that a nickel-sized amount of sunscreen applied to your neck and chest every day will help prevent collagen breakdown and the formation of sunspots. Don't forget to massage the sides and back of your neck. 2. MAINTAIN YOUR SKIN'S MOISTURIZATION. Again, the skin on your neck is thinner and has fewer oil glands than the rest of your body, so keeping the area hydrated is essential for a smoother overall texture. Look for peptide-containing creams (which can help stimulate new collagen growth) and apply them in gentle, upward strokes from your chest to your jawline. 3. RECLAIM YOUR BEAUTY SLEEP. Do you always wake up with pillow lines on the side of your neck? Apply one of these silicone patches before going to bed to keep your skin from crinkling while you sleep. You'll wake up with a smoother neck and less chance of further damage. 4. FOCUS ON CORRECT POSTURE. The amount of time we spend looking down at our phones and screens has resulted in what we now refer to as "tech neck." The simplest solution would be to limit screen time entirely, but more realistically, you should keep everything as close to eye level as possible to avoid unnecessary wrinkling. 5. GIVE LASER TREATMENTS A GO AHEAD. Still have fine lines on your neck? Fraxel lasers, stimulate your body's natural repair process to promote collagen growth. Fraxel can also be used to treat any dark spots or broken capillaries in the area, giving you a more even complexion. 6. ULTRASOUND TREATMENT FOR SERIOUS REPAIR. Ultherapy or Ultracel is your best non-surgical option for deeper, more stubborn lines and sagging. The FDA-approved treatment uses heat generated by focused sonic waves to penetrate deeper into the skin and stimulate the production of new collagen. Take note that the effect is gradual, and most patients notice a lifting effect three to six months after the initial treatment, so be patient.
Why You Need A Niacinamide Serum? And How To Use It.
Niacinamide may not get as much attention as retinol and vitamin C, but it is a skincare powerhouse that deserves equal recognition. It is the definition of a multitasker, offering a host of distinct benefits that make it a good choice for a wide range of skin types and complexion issues. However, incorporating it into your current skincare routine might sound difficult. Is it OK to use niacinamide along with vitamin C and/or retinol? Is hyaluronic acid a viable alternative? We weigh in on everything you need to know about using niacinamide. What is niacinamide, exactly? Simply put, it's a B vitamin, one of two forms of vitamin B3, and it participates in a number of critical cellular operations in the skin. What benefits does it have for the skin? Buckle your seatbelts, because this is going to be a long list. Niacinamide is a fantastic treatment for acne-prone skin. Niacinamide reduces sebum production, which can help prevent acne and shine. The vitamin is also known for its anti-inflammatory qualities, which aid in the treatment of acne and other skin conditions such as eczema. Niacinamide helps to build the skin barrier, which is advantageous to people who have eczema or sensitive skin. It is also an efficient skin lightening agent, treating hyperpigmentation by blocking pigment transfer from pigment-producing cells known as melanocytes to skin cells on the surface where discoloration is visible. As if that wasn't enough, there's evidence that niacinamide can help to reduce wrinkling and photoaging by maintaining cell function and repairing DNA damage. To summarise, niacinamide has very few limitations. Is it OK to mix niacinamde and retinol? Yes! In fact, retinol and niacinamide are recommended together for faster effects. The soothing characteristics of niacinamide can also assist to alleviate the unpleasant side effects and irritation that usually accompany retinol's wrinkle-fighting effectiveness. Is it safe to combine with other ingredients? Yes, as a general rule, which is why it's found in many skincare products and is easy to incorporate into your present routine. Niacinamide is frequently coupled with salicylic acid, a beta-hydroxy acid typically found in acne products, due to its acne-fighting qualities. Combining niacinimadie's oil-removal properties with salicylic acid's ability to break down excess oil is an effective way to keep pores free and breakouts at bay. Niacinamide is an ideal choice for combining with alpha-hydroxy acids, which are chemical exfoliants that can cause skin irritation, due to its anti-inflammatory and skin barrier-strengthening effects. Because the AHAs exfoliate the dead skin cells that would otherwise make it impossible for the niacinamide to enter, combining them boosts the efficacy of the niacinamide. Finally, because niacinamide and hyaluronic acid can both help with dry skin, they are frequently mixed. What is the one thing that the jury is still out on? Vitamin C. Because vitamin C might inactivate niacinamide, the applications should be separated by 15 minutes. In truth, the two would have to be heated in order to interact negatively, and more and more cosmetics are combining the two in skin-brightening formulations. The bottom conclusion is that if you utilise a product that contains both vitamin C and niacinamide, it was most likely specifically designed to work together. If you're using two different products that include these chemicals, wait 15 minutes between applications or use one in the morning and the other in the evening. Should I use niacinamide? Sure, in a nutshell. One of the nicest aspects of niacinamide is not only the vast list of benefits it offers, but also how well it is tolerated, particularly by those with sensitive skin. This makes it an enticing choice for those whose skin is sensitive to more common acne or skin lightening agents like benzoyl peroxide or retinoids.
Everything You Wanted To Know About Laser Hair Removal
Unwanted facial and body hair can have an impact on how we feel, how we interact with others, what we wear, and what we do. Shaving, plucking, bleaching and epilation using a device that pulls out multiple hairs at once are all options for concealing or removing unwanted hair. Electrolysis, which uses an electrical current to destroy individual hair follicles, and laser therapy are longer-term options. So, what exactly is laser hair removal? What can it accomplish? And what are the negative consequences? How does laser therapy work? Lasers emit a single wavelength of light in a single colour. The energy from the light is transferred to the skin and hair pigment melanin when it is directed at the skin. This causes the surrounding tissue to heat up and become damaged. However, in order to remove hair permanently while causing the least amount of damage to the surrounding tissue, the laser must be directed at specific cells. These are the hair follicle stem cells, which are located in the hair bulge. People are carefully shaved before treatment because the skin surface contains melanin, which we want to avoid damaging. Will it be effective in permanently removing hair? Laser treatment can permanently reduce hair density or permanently remove unwanted hair. Because permanent hair density reduction means that some hairs will regrow after a single course of therapy, patients will require ongoing laser treatment. Permanent hair removal means that no hairs in the treated area will regrow after a single course of therapy, and there is no need for ongoing laser therapy. The following factors influence whether hair is permanently removed or simply reduced in density: the colour and thickness of the treated hairs the colour of the patient's skin the type and quality of the laser used and the competence and training of the laser operator However, if you have grey hairs that lack melanin pigmentation, current lasers will not work. What number of treatments will I require? The number of treatments required is determined by your Fitzpatrick skin type. This categorises your skin based on its colour, sun sensitivity, and proclivity to tan. Skin that is pale or white, burns easily, and rarely tans (Fitzpatrick types 1 and 2) With 4-6 treatments every 4-6 weeks, people with dark hair can usually achieve permanent hair removal. People with fair hair will generally only achieve permanent hair reduction, and after an initial course of treatment, they may require 6-12 monthly treatments. Light brown skin that occasionally burns and gradually tans to light brown (type 3) With 6-10 treatments every 4-6 weeks, people with dark hair can usually achieve permanent hair removal. People with fair hair will usually only achieve permanent hair reduction, and after an initial course of treatment, they may require 3-6 monthly follow-up treatments. Moderate brown to dark brown skin that rarely burns and tans well (type 4 and 5) With 6-10 treatments every 4-6 weeks, people with dark hair can usually achieve permanent hair reduction. 3-6 monthly repeat treatments are usually required for maintenance. People with light-colored hair are unlikely to respond. Re-treatments must be spaced far enough apart to allow new hair growth to reach the bulge's level. What complications or side effects should I be aware of? To protect your eyes, you will be advised to wear goggles during treatment. You will also feel some discomfort during treatment, especially during the first few sessions. This is primarily due to not removing all hair in the treatment area prior to the procedure. Hairs that are not shaved absorb laser energy and heat the skin's surface. Repeat treatments at regular intervals reduce pain. After laser treatment, your skin will feel hot for 15-30 minutes. For up to 24 hours, there may be redness and swelling. Does the type of laser make a difference? The type of laser influences not only how well it works, but also your risk of side effects. Long-pulse ruby lasers, long-pulse alexandrite lasers, long-pulse diode lasers, and long-pulse Nd:YAG lasers are all suitable for hair removal. Intense pulsed light (IPL) devices are not lasers, but rather flash lamps that emit multiple wavebands of light at the same time. They function similarly to lasers, albeit less effectively, and have a much lower chance of permanently removing hair. To reduce the risk of damaging melanin-producing cells on the skin's surface, the laser used and how it is used can be tailored to your skin type. People with fair skin and dark hair can use an IPL device, an alexandrite laser, or a diode laser; those with dark skin and dark hair can use a Nd:YAG or diode laser; and those with blond or red hair can use a diode laser. Short laser pulses are used to control the spread of heat and unwanted tissue damage. The laser's energy is also adjusted: it must be strong enough to damage the bulge cells but not so strong that it causes discomfort or burns. Can I do it myself if I buy a home laser device? Home laser devices and IPL home devices range in price from $200 to $1,000. However, they do not work as well and must be used on a regular basis to maintain hair reduction. Only people with fair skin (Fitzpatrick types 1 and 2) and dark hair have their parameters set. Energy settings are limited for safety reasons. Complications may still arise in inexperienced hands. This includes skin pigmentation changes, burns, pain, and blistering. Medical grade lasers, on the other hand, must be registered with the government's regulatory agency, the Therapeutic Goods Administration. There are also national and state-based regulations governing the facility where the laser is used, as well as mandatory laser safety training and state-based qualifications and licencing for laser operators. As a result, a safe and regulated laser in the hands of a skilled dermatologist is advised. When should you see your doctor? Excess hair is not always a cause for concern. However, severe hirsuitism or excessive growth of dark and coarse hair over areas of the body where it would not normally grow or hypertrichosis excess hair growth for someone's age, sex, or race can be indicators of underlying illness. Extra androgen hormones can cause hirsutism, especially if it is accompanied by symptoms such as irregular periods or acne. Later in life, hypertrichosis can be a sign of cancer. Your dermatologist can look into these.

Arm Liposuction Vs. Arm Lift - Which One Is Right For You?
For people who believe their arms are a problem area, there are two options. Liposuction and arm lift surgery. The best procedure for you will depend on whether you want to remove excess fat or tighten sagging skin. In some cases, combining both treatments may be recommended by your cosmetic surgeon if he or she believes it will create the greatest results. Whether the root of someone's arm problems is excess fat, loose and sagging skin, or a combination of the two, it can have a substantial influence on self-confidence and mental health by making them feel uneasy and nervous about how they look in particular types of clothing. It can even prohibit people from completely enjoying their life since they avoid beaches, local swimming pools, and any other situation that requires them to expose their arms. Liposuction can be used to decrease excess arm fat. Liposuction is an excellent procedure for those of you who find it difficult to remove unwanted excess fat from your arms, especially if your skin has the elasticity to tighten and shrink back to a normal tautness. You risk having loose and drooping skin if your skin does not have the ability to instantly snap back into place, which is why your plastic surgeon in Mumbai may advise you to combine your liposuction treatment with arm lift surgery. Arm lift surgery can remove sagging skin on the arms. Arm lift surgery, also known as brachioplasty surgery, is frequently performed on patients who wish to remove unsightly drooping skin that forms the dreaded "bingo wings." When a person loses a significant amount of weight, the skin on the arms sags. Liposuction followed by arm lift surgery may be effective if you've lost a lot of weight but still have some on your arms that you're having difficulties getting rid of. It's crucial to note that there is a limit to how much fat may be removed if each cosmetic operation is performed concurrently, so chat to your cosmetic surgeon about what's practical. Most arm liposuction in Mumbai and arm lift surgery treatments necessitate a small incision on the underneath or back of the arm that is well concealed. If fat needs to be removed from the outside of the arm, it can be more difficult to do so in a smooth contour, thus scarring may be visible in some cases - nevertheless, these issues, and whether they relate to you, should be discussed in depth during your appointment.
What Causes Strawberry Legs And How To Get Rid Of It?
Summer is arrived, which means you're most likely showing a little more skin. As our gams finally receive their due, pants become shorts, maxi dresses become minis, and skirts become minis. Short hemlines, on the other hand, may be undesirable to those whose legs are spotted, bumpy, or spotty. Let's learn more about how a dermatologist treats and prevents skin diseases known as "strawberry legs." What Are 'Strawberry Legs,' Exactly? Strawberry legs refers to a dotty appearance of the legs, mainly around the hair follicles. The dots depict the buildup of common skin elements in and around the hair and oil glands. Keratin is a type of protein that is found in (the main protein in the skin) * Melanin is a pigment found in the skin (the source of pigment) * Sebum is a type of oil that is produced by (natural oil of the skin) * Bacteria are microorganisms (often, normal skin flora) The name "strawberry legs" refers to the dark pores and dots or red pimples that emerge on the lower thighs and resemble strawberry seeds. Strawberry legs are not hazardous in terms of health, but they are ugly. Strawberry Legs: What Causes Them and How to Treat Them While the appearance of strawberry legs is typically the same no matter what caused it, there are a number of causes. Knowing what's causing your dotted gams can allow you to address the appropriate ailment. The four most prevalent causes of strawberry legs, as well as how to cure them, are listed below. 1. Clogged Pores Clogged pores on your legs are just as common as clogged pores on your face. Because of heredity and thicker body hair, some people have larger pores, and while the pores themselves aren't inherently irritating, they can become problematic when they become blocked with germs, dead skin, and sebum. When clogged pores on the legs are exposed to air, the debris dries up and darkens, in the same way that a blackhead on the face does. Treat with: Chemical and physical exfoliation. Exfoliation, which is part of your facial skincare routine, can be used to cure congested pores on the legs or anyplace else on the body. My personal favourite for my patients is chemical exfoliation, which uses chemicals such as acids and retinols to stimulate skin cell turnover and clear pores. This eliminates keratin, oils, and other skin detritus gently, opening up pores and follicles and preventing secondary bacterial buildup. Acne and folliculitis bacteria grow in oil-clogged hair follicles, so eliminating that build-up is critical. Look for a body wash or moisturiser that contains alpha-hydroxy acids (AHAs) and beta-hydroxy acids (BHAs), notably glycolic acid and salicylic acid, to exfoliate dead skin cells and other debris that create clogged pores. These acids gently exfoliate the skin by minimising the'stickiness' of dead or dying skin cells. This helps to open up the pores while also giving the skin a great textural shift and radiance. 2. Folliculitis Folliculitis is a skin disorder that causes inflamed or infected hair follicles. The most common sign is little red pimples around the hair follicles. Hair loss or scarring in the affected area may occur in extreme situations. The majority of instances, however, are small and normally resolve within a few days. It's crucial to note that folliculitis is a catch-all term for inflammation of the hair follicle. This can be contagious due to microorganisms like staphylococcus or sterile due to oil buildup or shaving stress. Treat with: Antibiotics, both oral and topical. Folliculitis is a "tricky condition" to treat, which is why you should consult a dermatologist before trying any at-home therapies. Folliculitis can be sterile, with red, pus-filled pimples forming as a result of causes like clogged pores and shaving. They can, however, indicate a superficial skin infection caused by bacteria or yeast such as staph and pityrosporum. While the former can be treated with over-the-counter medications, the latter may require prescriptions for antibiotic creams or even pills to resolve. A simple swab can be used by a dermatologist to assess whether or not organisms should be targeted. If there are, it might save you a lot of time and effort in developing successful at-home habits. Treat with: Antibacterial skincare. At-home treatments range from lifestyle changes to skincare. To begin, change out of your sweaty training clothes and shower as quickly as possible. In the shower, lather up with antibacterial soap. Treat with: Laser hair removal treatment. You should also reconsider your shaving routine. Use a soothing shave cream in addition to converting from a multi-bladed razor to a disposable razor. In return for less rough skin, the closest shave is compromised. The risk of folliculitis is inversely associated to a close shave. He also suggests shaving with the grain rather than against it every two to three shaves. If you're prone to razor bumps, laser hair removal with a dermatologist will save you a lot of time and aggravation in the long run. 3. Keratosis Pilaris Keratosis pilaris (KP), popularly known as "chicken skin," is a skin disorder characterised by the appearance of small bumps on the skin. Keratosis pilaris most usually affects the upper outer arms, however it can also affect the thighs. Keratin accumulation in the hair follicles causes this. Treat with: Chemical exfoliation. Chemical exfoliants, like clogged pores, are frequently efficient in the treatment of keratosis pilaris, but prescription-strength treatments may also be beneficial. Exfoliative acids are my first line of defence against keratosis pilaris. If those don't work, a prescription-grade retinoid may be an option, but only after consulting with a dermatologist. While keratosis pilaris is usually a year-round condition, flare-ups are more likely in the winter when the skin is drier. Additionally, swimmers may aggravate the illness due to the dehydrating effects of chlorine and other pool chemicals. 4. Dry Skin Dry skin, as previously indicated, contributes to a number of skin diseases, including strawberry legs. Dehydrated skin is more susceptible to irritation, especially during shaving. Dry skin on the lower legs is more prone to razor burn, keratosis pilaris, folliculitis, and plugged pores, all of which can result in a spotty appearance. Treat with: Creams and moisturisers. For severely dry skin, a daily moisturising body lotion containing ammonium lactate is an excellent place to start, especially if it is scaly. Ichthyosis, or dry, scaly, or thickened skin, may not usually respond to regular creams and moisturisers, thus a dual-purpose formulation may be necessary. Because there is a thicker layer of dead skin on the surface, moisturising alone isn't always adequate. Exfoliating lotions gradually remove that layer, allowing richer moisturisers to penetrate deeper into the healthier layers beneath. In conclusion Strawberry legs are a catch-all name for a range of skin disorders, but there are a few things you can do at home and at the workplace to cure and prevent a bumpy or spotty appearance. Consult a board-certified dermatologist before attempting to treat yourself to ensure you understand the underlying cause of your illness.
Why Do Some Men Have 'Boobs'? And How To Get Rid Of The Problem.
While the condition is colloquially known as "man boobs," the medical term for the swelling of male breast tissue is gynecomastia, which translates as "male breast enlargement." At least 25% of men between the ages of 50 and 69 suffer from gynecomastia, and male breast reduction surgery (also known as gynecomastia surgery in Mumbai) is one of the most popular cosmetic treatments. What Exactly Is Gynecomastia and How Does It Affect You? Gynecomastia is an endocrine disorder characterized by enlargement of the male breast tissue. Gynecomastia is caused by a hormonal imbalance in which the body contains a higher percentage of oestrogen than is usual. During puberty, boys' bodies generate mostly testosterone and only a trace of oestrogen, the primary hormone in the development of female sexuality. When testosterone levels are lower than normal and the ratio of the two sex hormones is higher than usual, it is imbalanced. As a result of increased oestrogen levels, male breast tissue can enlarge. Even though gynecomastia is not dangerous to one's health, it can be an aesthetic issue with emotional consequences. A lot of causes might contribute to gynecomastia. Gynecomastia can occur at any age in men and is typically caused by hormonal changes. Because of the oestrogen left over from their mother's pregnancy, newborn males usually have bigger breasts after birth. It is possible that a hormonal imbalance will reoccur during adolescence or as an older man, resulting in a higher oestrogen to testosterone ratio. Most boys who are born with enlarged breast tissue due to oestrogen in their mother's placenta will find that the swelling has gone a few weeks after birth. Pubertal gynecomastia, on the other hand, affects young guys during puberty, beginning as early as the age of ten and lasting up to the age of eighteen. In certain circumstances, gynecomastia recurs later in life. As men age, their testosterone levels fall and their fatty tissue grows, which can lead to senile gynecomastia (male breast enlargement). Hormones, on the other hand, are not the main factor. Obesity, malnutrition, liver disease, hyperthyroidism, hypogonadism, prostate cancer, and renal failure are just a few of the medical conditions that can induce gynecomastia. It can also be caused by drugs like marijuana or heroin, prescription medications like anabolic steroids, corticosteroids, digoxin, and calcium channel blockers, as well as over-the-counter medications like Flagyl, Propecia, Spironolactone, Valium, and Zantac, and herbal remedies like lavender or tea tree oil. The source of a disease does not always result in a noticeable change in appearance. How to Identify and Treat Gynecomastia The pain in the breasts when gynecomastia first occurs can be excruciating. A bulge of fatty tissue could be the first sign of a disease. The lump may become more sensitive to touch as the swelling continues, however this sensitivity may eventually fade. While one breast may appear larger than the other at initially, the proportions gradually even out. Gynecomastia is described as any extension of the male breast; however, multiple grading systems exist to differentiate between the various degrees of enlargement that can occur. A shortened version of the Simon and Rohrich classification models is provided below: Grade I: Minor breast growth with no extra skin (250g breast tissue) Grade IIa: Moderate enlargement with no extra skin (250 to 500g of breast tissue) Grade IIb: Moderate enlargement with slight extra skin (250 to 500g of breast tissue) Grade III: Severe hypertrophy (more than 500g of breast tissue) with grade I ptosis Grade IV enlargement is severe, with grade II or grade III ptosis. Gynecomastia Surgery is a surgical treatment for treating the disorder. While gynecomastia is not always a medical concern, male breast reduction surgery is becoming more popular as a way to alleviate the disease's visual and psychological impacts on the male breast. Liposuction and excision, either alone or in combination, are the two most popular and effective procedures. Liposuction is advised for people with mild to moderate gynecomastia, which is characterized as breast enlargement with small gland hypertrophy and little excess skin. Another common discovery is that many individuals have a little amount of fibrous glandular tissue under the nipple, which can be removed by direct excision by a small incision around the areola. When performing liposuction for gynecomastia, procedures such as power-assisted liposuction (PAL) or ultrasound-assisted liposuction (UAL) can help to remove fibrous tissue more efficiently. In more severe cases, more intrusive procedures may be required. For extreme gynecomastia, skin excision is required to address the ptosis and excess skin. Liposuction will not suffice on its own. Following the removal of drooping skin and tissue from the chest, it is usual for the nipple-areola to be temporarily removed and returned as a graft in a more appropriate location on the chest after many severe cases have occurred. During the recovery period, patients frequently wear bandages and support garments to prevent edoema and give support for the chest as it heals. Depending on the procedure, a catheter may be momentarily put beneath the skin to remove any excess fluid. Most people can resume their normal habits within a few days, however some patients may experience edoema for several weeks following the treatment. Gynecomastia surgery cost in Mumbai ranges from Rs 90,000 to Rs 1,50,000 in 2021, and it should be noted that the procedure is not covered by most insurance policies in the nation. Alternative treatments for gynecomastia that do not include surgery According to a recent study, non-invasive treatments for gynecomastia do not have the same level of success as surgical procedures. Androgens (such as testosterone, dihydrotestosterone, and danazol), anti-estrogens (such as clomiphene citrate and tamoxifen), and aromatase inhibitors (such as abiraterone acetate) are examples of these (letrozole and anastrozole). Many patients report no meaningful improvement as a result of the treatment. It is possible to give testosterone to people who have an abnormally low level of the hormone, and danazol, a synthetic testosterone that suppresses oestrogen synthesis, may be helpful in some cases. Gynecomastia is a medical disorder for which there is now no effective treatment. It may be best to address any underlying reasons of gynecomastia that can be addressed through a change in lifestyle before resorting to prescription medication. If gynecomastia is not caused by hormones, the first step in treating it is to identify and treat the underlying reason. The therapy of underlying systemic disease comprises the removal of a tumor as well as the treatment of any offending chemicals, such as medications or illicit narcotics, as well as the discontinuation of any offending agents. The essential point to remember. Men who have enormous breast tissue may seek treatment to shrink the size of their chest. Gynecomastia affects a huge proportion of the male population during the course of their lives, and while the medical issues linked with the illness are minor, men with enlarged breast tissue may seek treatment to lower the size of their chest. Liposuction or excision can be used alone or in combination with other treatments to treat gynecomastia. The effects are usually long-lasting. Patients with gynecomastia caused by non-hormonal factors such as prescription medications, illicit drugs, or weight gain must maintain a healthy lifestyle to avoid surgical intervention and long-term problems. You can ensure that men receive the most appropriate treatment for their problem by consulting with a board-certified plastic surgeon in India.
