Jeffree Star Velour Liquid Lipstick Review

Hi guys and gals! Since I have a JS Liquid Lipstick in Celebrity Skin, might as well make a review of this baby because.. why not?
Packaging: The packaging is actually stunning! It is a pink box with gold Jeffree Star logos printed it. :D But beware of fake JS lipsticks that are going around. I took a snap of the sides packaging because the fake JS liquid lipsticks have different sticker of the shade name, doesn't have a bar code, doesn't have that some kind of a batch code (6B1 for me).
These are the ingredients. jeffree Star claimed that his products are cruelty free, vegan, and safe to use in the eyes (some people using these as liquid eyeliner).
No making out. Gotcha!
The bottle is small but a bit bigger than the container of a traditional lipstick.
Another indication of genuineness. Fake JS liquid lipstick have different font and layout at the bottom.
The doe-foot applicator on this one is the best one I've ever experienced! 10/10. It is a medium sized transparent wand and the tip of this applicator is really flexible. I bet first timers in using liquid lipsticks will find it easy to use this. Long story short, this is a really ergonomic wand.
First of all, sorry for my red, sparkly hand. (lol) I've been swatching eyeshadows earlier and I cleaned it with a micellar water (we all know glitters and hard to remove and my hand turned red when I really tried my best to remove it hahaha). Anyway, the formula is superb! It is thin but oh so pigmented! In fact, you only need one dip to cover your whole lips. It is not too drying which is a plus for a matte liquid lipsticks and it feels light and comfortable on my lips (no tacky feeling). On the other hand, it has a very strong smell, he stated in his website that it is a rootbeer float scent. I do not like it one bit. It is so strong that I'm not breathing while applying it. The smell fades after a while but girl, it is really strong.
Sorry for bad lighting but this is me trying out Celebrity Skin at night and using only indoor lighting. This shade is lighter than my skin tone. I honestly don't think I can pull off this shade because it washes out my face and make me look pale.
This is how the shade looks on me during the day. (Please excuse my face, I'm too lazy to glam lol)
Verdict: 4/5 stars! I think I picked the wrong shade. Nevertheless, it is still a really good liquid lipstick. Just research carefully for the shades you want to buy. ≧ω≦ What do you guys think? Let me know your thoughts! Over and out!

I just heard of this lipstick...but where can I get it??
You can purchase it online thru his website at jeffreestarcosmetics.com OR you can opt to order to an online shop (much cheaper because they order by batches but risky whether or not it is authentic). :)
thanks a bunch...

3 Skin Products That Have Actually Worked for Me
(image: glossier) Are you tired of buying products and seeing a whopping total of zero results? Same, girl. So today I'm going to share a few products that have actually had a noticeable impact on my skin. (image: mom fabulous) 1. RoC Deep Wrinkle Retinol Correction Holy cow guys. This stuff is absolutely magic in a bottle. Retinol in any dosage higher than this can only come with a perscription because it is incredibly strong. Creams with this product, if the dosage is right, practically erase fine (and not so fine) lines. I attacked my crows feet with this cream and I kid you not, I saw improvement and near-elimination of my deepest wrinkle in one week. One week. The little tube is a little pricey but good God does it work! Warning: I used the Day and Night cream religiously and after a few days I noticed that my skin was rather red. The labels warns that this happens and you skin will get used to it, but it persisted for longer than I liked. I stopped for a week, then went to only using the night cream and I haven't had a problem since. Retinol is a serious chemical so don't over-do it! Get your hands on it here! (image: pop sugar) 2. Fresh Sugar Lip Treatment The winter weather is not kind to my lips and there is nothing I hate more than that tight, almost sticky-dry feeling you get when your lips are parched. While drinking water helps, I found that this lip treatment not only moisturized my lips but softened them, slightly lessened the lines on my lips, aaaand just as an added bonus, it tastes delicious. I got the color 'Bloom' which is supposed to work for pretty much all skin tones, but check out their collection and find one that works for you! Get your hands on it here! (image: klairs) 3. Klair's Freshly Juiced Vitamin E Mask This is so sci-fi it's not even funny. The mask has a quality that no matter how much you use it, it will slide back into its previous shape like memory foam. So every time you open the jar it looks brand new. Because of this, when you put the mask on your face is really squeezes into your skin. When I wake up, my skin is literally glowing. Warning: I only use this once and week because I found that if I used it more than once a week I got a small breakout (gone the next day) on my nose. That could have been related to my time of the month, but I didn't want to risk it again, plus you really don't need to use it that often! Get your hands on it here! What are some products that have ACTUALLY done something noticeable for you?
Make A Galaxy Twisted Tee
On a previous tutorial, I showed you a cute way to make Galaxy Jewelry using some everyday products that you have around the house or in your craft corner. You can click here to see it. I bring it up now because it would go really well with this super cute Galaxy Tee that I found on I Love To Create Blog on Blogspot. Get yourself a loose-fitting black t-shirt and have your sewing machine on stand-by. You will need: Tulip Soft Matte Fabric Paint Tulip Fabric Spray Paint Black T-Shirt Bleach Paint brushes Spray bottle Scissors Pins Tape Get started by: 1. Lay shirt out flat and tape down. 2. Mix water and bleach ratio as 3 parts water to 1 part bleach. Pour into spray bottle. 3. Begin spraying the shirt with mix, focusing on just a couple spots. Once the bleach sets, the shirt will turn red and continue to turn unless you rinse it. If you want more bleaching to occur, spray more as needed. Rinse the shirt as soon as you get the right base color. 3. Begin using your Tulip paint to paint on blotches, swirls and any design that looks like a galaxy. 4. Continue doing this with different paint colors--as many or as few as you like. 5. Mix paint with water as you go along to create different effects. 6. Using a stiff paint brush, flick white paint to get dramatic stars. 7. Let your shirt completely dry and follow this with regular wash and dry cycle. 8. Lay your shirt flat and cut off the sleeves. 9. Flip over, with the back side up and mark the center of the back with a piece of soap or fabric chalk. This line should line up to the bottom of the arm hole. 10. Cut along both shoulder seams. This will separate the front and back. 11. Twist the two back pieces. 12. Pin in place and stitch by hand (or use your sewing machine). Once all this is done, you're ready to hang with your girlfriends and have a totally awesome summer. Don't forget to pair this with a cute bando top or a bralette. You can click here for tutorials to help you make one!
