From the Past to the Present, THINGS LOOK DIFFERENT!!๐Ÿ˜ฏ๐Ÿ˜ฏ๐Ÿ˜ฏ

As different anime get reboots and spin offs, storylines my stay the same (for the most part) but what changes is THE WAY IT LOOKS!! Most times it's an improvement due to advancing technology, and sometimes it could just be the theme behind the reboot. Let's take a look at some of the differences.!

Sailor Moon

First, a familiar face here in our Anime collection at Media Monsters, Sailor Moon! Looking at the first two gifs versus the last three, you can definitely see that with this Sailor Moon reboot, you get an all new art style that definitely shocked me when I first saw it! The reboot's art style is cleaned up versus the original, and you may notice that the characters don't have as much of an outline as they do in the art of the original.

The next show with some serious art changes is Doraemon! The 1973 version looks like any other cartoon or anime you may see in that decade. When you get to the 2005 version, you can see a HUGE difference! Again, you see some clarity in the overall quality so it's not as "fuzzy" looking, but with Doraemon in 2005, even with the picture being more clear, it still has an older or classic feel to it! Updated and still classic ๐Ÿ‘๐Ÿผ

Osomatsu- San

Probably the most obvious one! The first version came out in the 1960's and the latest reboot came out in 2015. Of course as usual, you get the clarity factor, but with this one you get color too!! The latest version has the updated art style and is very colorful! Everything has a light feel to it to me because the colors are just right and the fade is perfect so it isn't overbearing with color!
Bonus fact, I love these brothers and I had to add the Halloween picture because it's almost October!! ๐ŸŽƒ

To wrap up,

These are just a FEW examples of the differences in art styles from original anime to their rebooted counterparts.
Which other anime have you watched that SHOCKED you with the change in art!? Let us know in the comments below!!
