Within the October issue of Kadokawa Shoten’s Monthly Shoten Ace magazine, Gaku Tsugano, the creator of the manga adaptation of Nagaru Tanigawa’s “The Melancholy of Haruhi Suzumiya”, is announcing that the manga series will be ending in the next chapter. The final chapter of the series is currently set to be published in the November issue on September 26th 2013. The manga creator has commented on the ending of the series stating: ”Next time is the final chapter! I’ll do my best to the end!” The manga has been serialised within the magazine for almost eight years, with it making a debut in 2005′s November issue. The 19th volume of the manga has been release in Japan by Kadokawa in June, and the 15th volume has been released in North America courtesy of Yen Press back in April.
