Tokyo has become a cruel and merciless city—a place where vicious creatures called “ghouls” exist alongside humans. The citizens of this once great metropolis live in constant fear of these bloodthirsty savages and their thirst for human flesh. However, the greatest threat these ghouls pose is their dangerous ability to masquerade as humans and blend in with society.
Based on the best-selling supernatural horror manga by Sui Ishida, Tokyo Ghoul follows Ken Kaneki, a shy, bookish college student, who is instantly drawn to Rize Kamishiro, an avid reader like himself. However, Rize is not exactly who she seems, and this unfortunate meeting pushes Kaneki into the dark depths of the ghouls' inhuman world. In a twist of fate, Kaneki is saved by the enigmatic waitress Touka Kirishima, and thus begins his new, secret life as a half-ghoul/half-human who must find a way to integrate into both societies.
For starter's I'm not a big fan of horror or gore in general and I've only seen 3 horror anime's. Tokyo Ghoul, High School Of The Dead and Ghost Hunt. I wasn't a fan of High School Of the Dead. It was just a lot of fanservice which was annoying and they still threw fanservice into the action scenes when it wasn't needed. I barely remember anything from that anime that's how much I didn't like it.
Alright since I cleared that out of the way time to talk about "Tokyo Ghoul"! I really love this anime to be frank, it's one of my favorite's and I can't wait for the 3rd season to come out. Not only is it one of my top favorites but it also has my favorite anime opening of all time that is just so addictive to listen to. I love the animation, the character's especially Kaneki. I love Kaneki's character once he finally accepts the ghoul in him and his hair turns white. I've stated before that I love white hair. I really like the plot, although it gets a little rocky in the 2nd season. I can't wait to see where it will be headed off to in the 3rd season. Since I'm not a big gore fan, this one was a little too much in the beginning but I could handle it. You can easily get attached to the relationships in this anime. Particularly Hide and Kaneki's friendship because they are so close. *SPOILER ALERT* My favorite scene was from that last episode of the first season where Kaneki accepts the ghoul in him and he fights Jason and wins. He became a total bada**. He was totally awesome with the opening playing in the background which made it way more epic. It is probably my favorite anime fight, I just smile at how awesome Kaneki is in the fight every time I watch it and think about how much Jason deserved that. I also love and hate the last episode of the 2nd season. I love it because of the beautiful acoustic version of "Unravel" playing and the build up of Hide's death. That scene was so sad yet beautiful. The reason I hate the scene is Hide dies. Kaneki loses his best friend. But then again I don't know if I would've loved Tokyo Ghoul the same if that scene never happened because it was so well played out. Overall Tokyo Ghoul is by far my favorite horror anime!

Ghost Hunt (PLOT) -

While at school, Taniyama Mai and her friends like to exchange ghost stories. Apparently, there is an abandoned school building on their campus that is the center of many ghost stories. During the story, they are interrupted by a mysterious male figure. The person turns out to be Shibuya Kazuya, a 17-year-old who is president of the Shibuya Psychic Research Company. He was called by the principal to investigate the stories surrounding the abandoned school building.
The next day, on the way to school, Mai passes the school building in question. While examining a strange camera she spotted inside, she gets surprised by Kazuya's assistant. Unknowingly interfering with the investigation, Mai breaks the camera and Kazuya's assistant gets injured.
Kazuya forcefully hires Mai in order to pay for the camera and replace his injured assistant. From that point on, Mai begins to learn about the paranormal world and the profession of ghost hunting.
This anime was entertaining, got my heart pumping when the music dropped and what's worse is I sometimes watched it at night. I know... great idea! XD
I agree with others that watched it and thought it deserved another season because it does. I feel there is so much more to develop but it was still a decent ending. The music was creepy too. Good animation. Halloween time is definitely the perfect time of year to watch this. I wanted to see the main couple grow together but like I said that would only be possible if there were another season. One thing I didn't like about this anime was that it was overly dramatic, Mai always had a shocked face. It was laughable but at the same time annoying. I get that it is probably because it's a little older but still...Oh well. I loved the different ghost adventures they went on and the twists of the plot. It was a fun horror anime to watch. I love Kazuya, he's really cute which was another reason I liked this anime. And it had it's funny scenes too, if you like the English dubbed voice actor Cherami Leigh she voices Mai in this. Not many people know about this anime but it's really good!
