And here begins the start of a mini fashion week street style collection I took! More coming! Considering I have lived in NY all my life, I find it a little pathetic that it took me this much time to roam around Lincoln Center during fashion week. When I was younger, I spent a considerable amount of time at Lincoln Center, as I played in an orchestra and they very often feature young groups. But never for fashion week… maybe it was the jealous bone in me? Well anyway this was my first time, so I headed up to Mercedes Benz Fashion Week with my camera in hand, ready to photograph the posh and stylish. I was a little nervous at first. I knew that there would be a ton of photographers but once I got there I felt part of the norm. There were a bunch of bloggers and connection-seekers hanging around, and I met some really cool people. Of course, then there were also the people who looked absolutely fabulous running in and out of the main entrance. Above I’ve photographed who I could in the matter of the hour I was there. I wish I could have stayed longer, but I believe that the penultimate day of fashion week was also the most humid of the entire year. I don’t remember the last time I sweat that much. Too much information? But honestly, I think my camera was hot too, plus it was sliding around in my hands. So excuse the not-quite-up-to-par quality of the photos. Next year (or perhaps in the winter) I will be ready everyday of fashion week. Before I end, I want to say that there were some cheeky people hanging around Lincoln Center with fabulous outfits that were not actually going to Fashion Week. Clever clever. I found it hilarious that many of those who were attending would hang around the plaza, waiting to be photographed with no luck. A little sad, a little funny. Enjoy! More photos on my blog:
