Kim Je-ha (Ji Chang-wook) is a former mercenary soldier for the PMC Blackstone. While in Iraq, he gets framed for the murder of his lover, a civilian. As a result, he runs away and becomes a fugitive. He returns to South Korea and by chance, gets offered to work as a bodyguard by Choi Yoo-jin (Song Yoon-ah), the owner of JSS Security Company and wife of the presidential candidate, Jang Se-joon (Jo Sung-ah). He accepts the job in exchange of the resources that he needs in order to get his revenge on another presidential candidate, Park Gwan-soo, who previously ordered the killing of his lover. In the meantime, Je-ha gets assigned to guard Go An-na (Im Yoon-ah), the hidden daughter of Jang Se-joon, whose life is always threatened because of Yoo-jin, her stepmother. An-na, who has been reclused and lonely all her life, starts relying on Je-ha, who shows concern for her and protects her at all costs. They slowly fall in love with each other, which makes Je-ha torn between having to work with his ally, Yoo-jin in order to get his revenge and protecting his new-found love, Anna, against his own ally.

Kim Je-ha (Ji Chang-wook) who is also known as the K2 is an interesting character and is quite mysterious throughout the whole drama. We learn a little about him but not that much, I feel like there is so much more to him than we find out. Je-ha suffers from PTSD because of Raniya's death. After holding her in his arms dead he could never kill anyone ever again. He gets flashbacks to her death and suffers because of it. He also gets framed for her death and is on the run because of it. The one who killed Raniya was Gwan-soo, he ordered it to be done. This caused major damage to Je-ha and he wants revenge. So when he gets back to Korea he just plans to live a normal life until he sees something he wasn't supposed to and now he is being chased. He later is asked to become Yoo-jin's bodyguard because she hears that he is stronger than an army. He accepts and is now a bodyguard for Anna. He falls for Anna through a CCTV, he obviously falls in love with her at the moment he sees her dancing while cooking ramen happily. That makes him smile, he becomes infatuated by her and fell for her. What I love about his character is the stronger his desire to protect someone the stronger his will to fight is no matter how beaten up he is. He will still continue to strike back. Je-ha is extremely handsome and fun to watch. He's also so sweet and completely fearless!
Lastly, Ji Chang-wook was the very reason I had interest in watching this drama. I loved him in Healer so much, more than this drama but he still did great in this. I just loved his personality more in Healer. I was also really happy to hear that he took the time to learn how to do stunts so he did all his stunts himself in this drama without a stunt double.

Go An-na (Im Yoon-ah) grew up sheltered from the world for many reasons. She walked into her mother's room when she was young and saw her mother dead on the floor and a bottle of pills spilled around her. Anna thought it was her fault that her mom died this whole time but that wasn't the case as she remembers more and more of what really went on the night of her mother's death. She always tries to run away from being trapped in that house but she gets caught every time. Like Je-ha, Anna also suffers from PTSD. After her mother's death who was a celebrity. The paparazzi were constantly flashing their lights in her face and this reminds her of her mom's death and gives her anxiety. Just seeing a bright light from a car light can trigger her PTSD. She's an innocent and sweet girl who just wants to be loved. When she meets Je-ha, I believe she fell for him when he gave her mouth to mouth. She remembers it happening and starts to gain an interest in him. Anna hates Yoo-jin and would be happy if someone killed her. I applaud Yoona for her acting in this drama, she made me very proud as I expected from her. The only other drama I saw her in was Love Rain which I loved more than this drama. But her acting in that was good. I don't know why people hate on her acting but they do. She hasn't had much acting experience but she's done great for what she's done so far.

Choi Yoo-jin (Song Yoon-ah) - The wife of the presidential candidate and eldest daughter of a chaebol family. She is ambitious and merciless, and has her sights set on becoming the First Lady. Yoo-jin has a vicious personality and tries to get whatever she wants no matter how hard she tries. I felt bad for Yoo-jin, she fell in love with Je-ha but Je-ha had already fallen in love with Anna. Many people want to see her dead. Also Song Yoon-ah is an amazing actress, she did great playing the villain and her evil laugh was perfect.
Jang Se-joon (Jo Sung-ah) -A presidential candidate and An-na's father. He cares for An-na, but is unable to show it in order to protect her from his wife, Choi Yoo-jin. He is forced to pretend to not care about Anna although he really loves her. He's a major player and that disgusts me.

Park Gwan-soo - Se-joon's political rival. Scum who ordered Raniya's (Je-ha's first lover) death in Iraq and framed Je-ha as the murderer. He ruined someone's life and killed someone. I can't stand him at all.
Choi Sung Won - Is Yoo-jin's half brother and CEO of JB group. He seems nice in the beginning but it's all a lie. I knew something was up with him from the beginning. Near the end I was screaming someone kill him! He's a horrible person.

I actually really liked the storyline a lot. I like the fact that both the main characters suffer from PTSD, both can help each other through tough times together. I like that it's a mystery whether Anna actually did kill her mom when she was younger or did someone else actually kill her? That was the question while watching this drama but I knew that Anna couldn't have killed her mom that would've made the story too simple and not as interesting. But the way they did it was good. I won't spoil it that far. The love triangle is between a mother, stepdaughter and Je-ha while there was really no chance for Yoo-jin because Je-ha had fallen for Anna already. The story basically follows Je-ha on his journey of revenge and protecting Anna. Then Anna trying to uncover the truth behind her mother's death. Those are the main points of the story and I think it is a very interesting concept to watch.

There was definitely some chemistry between these two I felt it right away at the one scene in episode 9 (clip above) where Anna gets drunk and feels hot, she goes outside to cool down and Je-ha sees her. He asks Anna where she's going and she says she drank too much and feels hot. He then responds with "how hot could it possibly be?" and then touches her face. She says it's refreshing and he puts both his hands on her cheeks and then blankly stares at her so lovingly. That's for sure my favorite scene from the whole drama. I kept replaying it because it was so cute and the way he looked at her, I knew at that moments that ship was sailing!
I wanted more passion than sweet between them though, all I got was cuteness. There was one scene from the last episode between these two and Anna made me laugh so hard. They were definitely cute that's for sure, but it felt like it was lacking something.

"Today" by Kim Bo Hyung (SPICA) - This is the only song I actually really liked from this drama, I may be the only but I didn't like the choir ost's. I didn't think they fit, they just gave the drama a sad and unhappy vibe throughout the whole drama. I know the drama isn't all happy and stuff but those ost's made the drama less enjoyable while I always looked forward to this song playing at the end of each episode. There was one scene where "Today" actually played and it wasn't for a preview which made me happy. I think the soundtrack of a drama pulls a drama together. That is probably another reason I felt this drama was lacking. But this song is beautiful and fun to listen to. I really like it a lot and Bo Hyung has a powerful voice that is enjoyable to listen to.

I really liked this drama from the beginning, it started to drag at one point from about episode 11 to 14 but the other episodes were great. It was an enjoyable action, thriller, romance drama. I don't think it's a drama I could watch again but it's definitely worth the watch at least once. They chose a great cast and I'm glad that Yoona and Chang-wook played the leads because they did great. Also Yoon-ah did the best in the acting department for this drama. She's for sure a memorable character. I loved the storyline and I liked the chemistry between the main leads. I just wish there was something more there but they were still very adorable to watch. I was expecting this to be an amazing drama that would reach on to my top 10 list but I let my expectations reach too high. I liked only one of the ost's while the rest were just not my favorite at all and to me if a drama's soundtrack isn't my favorite then it reflects on the rating I give for the drama. The soundtrack for this drama made it feel boring in my opinion. The action scenes should've had a better song but it's too late now. I know some people probably really loved the ost's so I'm not hating. Lastly, I have to talk about the ending. I liked and hated the ending. I liked it more than hated. I didn't like the outcome for some of the events. But I was happy the main couple were happy in the end. One thing that really bugged me and got me curious is WTH is Je-ha's real name? XD
Of course, he will forever be mysterious and we will never know because the K2 is done.
RATE: 7 / 10 - It was a fun ride while it lasted. The chemistry was cute. The cast was amazing. But what fell short for me was the soundtrack and the romance. I wanted more. All in all, it was a good drama and I only recommend to the action, thriller, romance lovers or if you love either Ji Chang-wook or Im Yoon-ah.

Have you watched "The K2", if so did you like it?

I am debating on this one.

Yes, he's the 2nd male lead....that looks like a porcelain doll. B1A4 are a great group, and you've probably heard a few of their songs and just not realized it. Sandeul came out with a solo album back in October. Baro has been in a number of dramas and movies. CNU does theater, and Gongchan has been in a few dramas also.
It was good! However I didn't like the ending. I did like Changwook's character though! He's one of my favorite actors and Healer is probably my favorite drama aside from W and Dr. Frost.

Awesome! KissAsian runs slow on my laptop for some reason so I don't usually watch dramas on it.
