A lot of speculation has gone around recently suggesting that 'The Wind Rises' is to be critically acclaimed anime director Hayao Miyazaki's last piece. This speculation has now been confirmed by the President of Studio Ghibli Koji Hoshino, after he announced that the master is to retire, with 'The Wind Rises' being his last film. The announcement by Hoshino at Italy's Venice Film Festival didn't go too in depth, but he did comment saying that Miyazaki is retiring from feature-length films. The Wind Rises recently opened in Japanese theaters back in July 2013 and Disney have announced that they will be distributing the film in North America. The director has been in the business for over fifty years now and has made tons of superb and celebrated feature films, some of which being; My Neighbour Totoro, Spirited Away, and Princess Mononoke.
